My boyfriend is an inexperienced careless driver but he thinks he knows what he's doing. What should I do?

I don't want to hurt my boyfriends felling but he is not a safe driver. He recently just passed his driving test however, he drove for probably less than 30 times in his life. I have 11 years of driving with no tickets or accidents. I know what I'm doing.

The issue is, he got a new job that requires a car. He doesn't have one so he needs one asap! He has bad credits and no money so he can't even really afford one. I already agree to help him finance the car having it under my name. Now, i need to also be the primary driver for the insurance since it's much cheaper. I'm afraid he will ruin my credit and my driving history. The worst, we borrowed my brother's car right now and I am so afraid that he will end up in an accident. My brother drives a Porche. If this car ends up in any accident, we can't afford to fix it. I've always been sitting next to him when he drives and he's now asking to go on freeway driving alone for work. His work requires him to drive a lot. It's scary! First, I'm afraid he will end up in an accident due to his careless inexperience driving and second, he will mesd up my brother's car. My brother had seen his driving and he told me not to let him drive alone with his car. My boyfriend was upset because he needs the car to work. What should i do?

Because the car is so nice and it's your brother's, mention to your boyfriend that he doesn't want him driving the car alone. Because you are both currently using the car, tell your boyfriend that you really want to abide by your brother's rule because you don't want to cause any problems and you feel like you're stuck in the middle. Mention that your brother is doing you guys a huge favor by letting you guys borrow his PORCHE while you're stuck without a car, and it's only fair that your boyfriend is respectful of his wishes. If he still gives you a hard time don't let him drive the car at all. Don't let him walk all over you or disrespect you/your brother. Keep your boundaries!

In your free time maybe go on drives together. He's only going to get better with practice. Guide him but don't dictate. When he does something well point it out. If his driving scares you, like legit scares you, point that out too.

Say to him that your brother has suggested a refresher course because he feels he hasn't had enough event practice. If he kicks off, show him the cost of the repairs. Have an agreement he pays for damages

Just don't put yourself between the tree and the bark. Don't put yourself in a situation where he can ruin your reputation because of his carelessness. Talk with your insurer and change it so that they know what's going on and don't let him drive the porsche ! You don't necessarily have to tell him he is a bad driver, but act like it. He will eventually realize it by himself and with some luck, maybe start working on himself. for the love of god, don't tell him he can't drive, at least, have a man he respects do it. I know it shouldn't be so, but if you tell him he can't drive, you are emasculating him. Stupid male ego, I know...

Take him to a karting track and make him your bitch, pull over to let him past then overtake him and repeat.. then say you ain't got car control fool so slow down on da road! lol

Aye, having your license doesn't mean you can drive, merely that you're allowed to.

He won't get any experience driving if you don't want him to drive though.
