Flaky Guy - Ignore Him or Give Him a Piece of My Mind?

Long story short, a guy that I've been on and off with since college (almost 7 years) resurfaces after a year of no contact. (Background info - he has been single for a few months now) Texts saying he wants to see if I want to get together. Then actually calls (daylight hours too), saying he has some things he wants to talk about with me. We chat for an hour and make plans for him to come visit me the next weekend (we live 3 hours apart). Last minute he flakes - no excuse no apology nothing. (He has a history of flaking.) Coincidentally I'm in his neck of the woods last weekend and suggest meeting up for lunch since our weekend plans fell through. He agrees. A few days before I contact him to confirm and nothing - nada - zip - radio silence. I get that stuff comes up, but why not even a text to say "hey can't make it something came up."?

My question is - do I take the high road and just ignore him or give him a piece of my mind? Not in a nagging, bitchy way but in a straight forward "you're a douche for wasting my time" kind of way. Normally I'd take the high road but it's grating on me so much that it's all I can think about. I did have feelings for this guy at one point so I think that's why I can't seem to let it go.

I can relate. If you have the strength, Id try to stay away from him. Im guessing the sex is pretty good or your chemistry, otherwise what would the point be? I think it can stem from childhood, if your dad wasn't there as much as he should have been. Regardless, I totally know the feeling of the complex it can create in your head, wondering "wtf, is it me?"Dont allow yourself to go into the realm of self doubt because when it comes down to it, it doesn't mean something is wrong with you just because someone doesn't think you're the shit. Have you ever been flaky with a guy youve dated? If so, why? I've done it plenty of times, usually because I dont really care or Id rather be doing something else, or maybe Im nervous for whatever reason (maybe he's high). So if that 'something else' comes along I may go with that, instead of 'plans with.. err dude...' Sometimes its annoying to explain myself because my reasoning may seem rude or fucked up, so I simply dont explain myself. Especially if he knows bailing on you won't hurt anything on his end, maybe it tends to make you more interested in him. I wish there was a way to flip the scales here, it may not be possible to tho after all those years you guys have known eachother... I've heard that you can't play a player. lol

you'll do your self better to take the high road. Plus, You'll get a lot further under his skin if you just completely ignore him. His motives were to see if you were still interested. Check, you are. If you give him a piece of your mind, hell think you are REALLY interested and can't get him off your mind and he deeply affected you. If you berate him for his inconsiderate behavior, he'll just say psycho chick and move on. Whether or not he's interested hasn't actually crossed his mind yet. It will when you ignore him.
