This one guy that won't leave my mind... what do I do guys?

I've known him for a year and a half. We used to flirt like crazy and one it just stopped. he stopped like as if he lost interest. A couple months later he tells me he has a girlfriend. she's my best friend now. I was still crazy about him. Every girl i knew was. now, I'll be honest... he's not good looking. But there's something in his energy (?) that makes every one fall in love with him. Friend way or more.. Girl or guy.. young or old. When he enters a room everyone stands up and forms a line just to hug him! He's funny, charming, an extremely strong martial artist and he's been through hell. Terrible terrible stuff and... I fell harder for him when he told me this stuff. Now he's paying attention to me again.. because he knows i'm in love with another boy. his best friend's little brother. and he can't stand it lol. I'm really not sure what to do. I'm about to ask the other boy out but a small part of me still lusts after this guy. this guy with a GIRLFRIEND! I'm not sure what to do, really. How do I subtly push him away. Push him away so that i can just love the one... His best friend's little bro. Any suggestions? please HELP
