So i'm going through some stuff right now, and my best friend's boyfriend has been there for me. I'm 15 and he is 16. Last night I admitted to him that I had cut myself (I know it's bad and I won't do it again) and he said to meet him at the school pavilion. So I did. I was talking to him about every thing and when I got emotional he pulled me close and held me tightly for a good 40 minutes. He was stroking my hair and telling me it's okay. He even put his forehead against mine. When I started crying he pulled me onto his lap and held me tightly while I cried. I am very confused. He doesn't seem to have feelings for me, we haven't known each other for very long either. He and my best friend are dating. It's only been about 3 weeks, but he seems to really like her, and she really likes him. After this, I'm afraid I might have feelings for him, which is bad considering my best friend is dating him. I just want to know why he would hug me so tightly and pull me onto his lap and do the things he did.

WELL HE TOLD ME HE LIKES ME SO NOW I CAN GO CRY AND FEEL LIKE A TERRIBLE FRIEND.
Don't feel bad. It's not your fault he likes you. In fact, it's common for guys to get close with their crush's best friend as a way of getting to the girl they really want. But you might want to be prepared to have a conversation with both him and your best friend.

Because you matter to your best friend/his girlfriend and I think he's just doing himself a favor to be of help for the persons that are dear to his love of his life other than him.

He was just being a good friend. Don't do anything and fuck up your freindship with your mate.
because he's a good friend. Purely platonic.
