Why did my crush clench his jaw as he passed me?

I was in line for lunch and my crush walked between me and the person ahead of me, even tho there wasn't any room. He didn't look at me, but defiantly noticed me and clenched his jaw. Why did he clench it?

I always clench my jaw when I am near an attractive girl, because it makes my jawline look better. I don't do it consciously anymore - its become a habit.
