He calls me 'homie' and 'dude' and can't tell if he likes me?

My guy friend has been showing a lot of signs he has a crush on me. I kind of play dumb and act like I don't notice anything, so if he does I may be coming off as not interested... stupid, I know. Complimenting me, sent a love poem, wants to be alone a lot, always wants to be close to me, etc. The only thing that has been throwing me off is he still calls me 'homie' and 'dawg' and 'dude' when texting.

For example:
'I love you so much homie<3'
'I wouldn't have spent the day with anyone else dude:)'

I know he calls people homie and dude a lot but it is still confuses me.

Like whenever he does something cute I kind of play it off like nothing because I'm torn with my feelings. I love him a lot but don't want to ruin our friendship (we are practically best friends. Super close), so I don't react to anything he does. I'm afraid as gluhm said, he is just trying to friendzone me or something OR he is interested and doesn't want to make it super obvious in case of rejection so says 'homie' and 'dude' at the end. I'm not sure though.

ask him if he thinks of you as one of the guys or if he calls everyone that in general
