So, I have had this guy friend for about 2 years and a year ago, I told him I liked him but he didn't feel the same. Recently he has been acting differently. Like before, he would text dry and we would rarely facetime. But now, he is asking about me and he told me the qualities he loved about me. He also said he wanted to give me a big hug the next time we saw each other. He has been asking to call me every night and he told me he missed me and my smile. He has never acted this way before and we have been best friends for 2 years. He said he wanted to talk with me for a long time every day and that he cared about me a lot. He also said that if I was ever in a situation where I was in danger, he would stand in front of me to protect me. He is being super sweet but maybe I'm just overthinking? Also, I catch him staring at me a lot and he is always smiling at me. Please help and give me your advice.
