Why is my classmate always staring at me?

I noticed this a while ago but he keeps staring at me everyday. I don't know how should I act because I feel his eyes on me haha. To be honest I started liking him too so this is really worse anyway he does this but never approaches me even though he is not shy at all. Eventually he is quite the player so I don't know... My friends even noticed and they keep teasing me about it and him too. My friends did ask him about it but he denied it even though a lot of my classmates already noticed this.
