Guys, what do I do if two brothers appear to be "fighting" over me?

My neighbor has two sons and we have been good friends for the past four years. Recently I think something has shifted in my relationship with them though. The oldest one has been asking me to go do things with him a lot like catching a movie, grabbing ice cream, etc. and the other one always makes a snide comment about it such as "don't the two of you look cozy" while rolling his eyes.
The younger brother will just randomly pop up and start flirting with me, but when the older brother shows up they kind of glare at each other and he'll tell his younger brother to stop flirting with me. I don't want to cause problems between them and I'm honestly not interested in either of them as more than a friend. So what are they trying to prove and how do I handle this without complicating things?

well if you're interested then I would pick one and go on a date.
if not then I would suggest to hang out the three of you.
you could all go to an event or a movie as friends and just hang out.

that allows you to play it off like a friend thing and then later on if one seems sweet you could make your move and pick one of them.

it's also possible that one of them likes you and the other just acts differently because he knows his brother has a crush on you.

Just say to them together, you noticed they argue about flirting but they shouldn't because its not like that for you, you just see them both as (drop f-bomb here)=friends, guys hate that f-word, but you need to stop getting their hopes up and causing division among them. In the guys mind you go to movies with its a date, and if you're letting him pay then it is.. dont try to get the benefits of being a girlfriend without being one, it toys with a guys heart.

Well I tried telling them I was dating this guy from college, but i think it made things worse. I feel they flirt with me even more now than before.
