as a short guy i personally like taller girls very much. i feel like their bodies "even out" well. getting to your question: theyre probably intimidated by you a bit or by the way they might be looked at if theyre with you. even if they are taller, men are told that women like tall men so if they aren't tall relative to you, they might think that you wouldn't be interested. the reason they might go for shorter girls is because they probably have weak egos that need to stroked and having a tall girl doesn't stroke that ego as much. simply put the same reason you wouldn't date a short guy, is the same reason a guy wouldn't want to date a tall girl, they dont compliment each other well based off societies ideals. society says a guy should be taller, if not he isn't seen as masculine; a man doesn't want to seem unmanly and a woman wouldn't want to be with a guy that seems unmanly, that is to say if they value societies out looks on an ideal relationship. so thats probably why; they either think you are too tall to think they are attractive or they feel shorter women will help them look taller, consequently feeding their ego/ confidence.
that's not TOO high, but can be intimidating to guys that's shorter it's true. and most guys in general have issues with going for the most beautiful intimidating "high-league" girls. it's only the truth. send more signals to guys you like probably.

Most women don't want guys shorter than them or even close to their height. Most guys know that and at your height they assume you wouldn't be interested. It is up to you to approach someone. You can thank the majority of women for that since they frequently turn down guys purely based on height.
Probably because most shorter girls won't even date guys that are under 6ft, so guys 6ft and under dont bother talking to girls taller than them because they assume those girls will want someone even taller.
because the average guy is 5'9" and won't approach generally approach girls that are shorter because "dominance" and women generally don't date shorter guys either.
There ia the obvious reason for shorter guys to not approach taller girls because some do feel as if they loose masculinity having to look up to their girlfriend. Me myself at 6'0 have no problems to approach tall girls and also prefer taller girls over short ones.
