Texas I lived in San Angelo for years. He was just in a zone saying ma'am. He was being polite and were just behind them Im sure he felt lime an idot. If it happens again play with it tell him you ain't a grandma then call him grandpa flirt joking the ask when he gets break.

Well, I don't think guys in general would say this to someone they find attractive, if It was like a joke it's fine I think, but if he really called to ma'am, that's a red flag.
Some times its just the way people talk and theyre used to it.
When someone my age tells me to do something i often say "Yes ma'am" or "yes sir" jokingly.
Because he was working and that's what he is supposed to say?
