Why do women not date single dads?

i am a 33 year old chef who is a full time single dad without my sons mother involved. I have been single and divorced for awhile, and have found that despite what people think, single women seem to avoid single dads as a potential mate. Why is that?

I would absolutely date a single dad. I'm a single mum myself, so I would have no issue. In fact I might prefer a single dad because of the understanding that they have of being a parent, and a lone parent on top of that. There just don't seem to be that many single dads around...

I recognise your problem however because it also works the other way - single, childless, men don't often want to get together with single mums.

Children bring such a massive and important extra dimension to any relationship, that I think it seriously overwhelms some people to the extent that it is becomes the deal-breaker.

I agree I’m dating one for the first time I have dated divorcée twice with kids but it’s a bit different. Is it hard to coordinate schedules with a single dad?

Why are you singling out single women? That kind of answers your own question, right?

It's a lot of work to date someone with children. Also, a lot of single dads look for women to "dump" their children on -- so many women have bad experiences. I honestly would prefer to not date a guy with kids because of all of the work that is involved with raising them. I'm not quite ready to live my life around them (I don't mean scheduling dates & stuff, just that most guys want you to step up and start being part of the kids' life MUCH quicker than women do with men).
