Why do men always insist on buying the drinks on nights out?

When ever I go out with my male friends they always buy my drinks, I don't even bother taking money anymore. I get so many drinks I don't even get to drink them all. Used to try to pay for myself but now I don't even bother because I always get one of guys follow me to the bar and insist on paying. They also always pay for my taxi and food after too. They deny having any sexual intentions so I don't really get it?

When a man pays for your things, it is the respectful thing to do. Of course, it is also the respectful thing for the girl to buy them sometimes. But since most guys are used to pay for a girls dinner or drinks at a bar, they are rewarded with sex or more dates afterwards. Some guys subconsciously expect something out of it or are honestly just being gentlemen.

Guys, like to take care off female friends, especially those close to them. I have many male cousin and friends, that do the same, they are always treating me to things on nights out. They like to know I am safe, so they always pay for my taxi ride home. Also, I am engaged to be married too, so nothing sexual about it from my point of view.

I must add... you are being willfully naive to believe that they have no sexual interest in you, and you are being willfully naive because it allows you to feel better about taking advantage of these men financially.

Eventually, these guys will resent you. By accepting their money, you are at the very least suggesting that they are potentially worthy of dating, and that you may have some interest in them. At some point, they'll realize this isn't true, and then they'll feel that they were being played by you, and while they may never say it, they'll resent you for using them for months or years, and they won't be interested in hanging out with you anymore.

Of course you aren't obligated to be romantically interested in them, much less give them sex (which is what most are likely really after), but at the same time, you shouldn't feel entitled to their money. If you wouldn't date a guy, you should never accept drinks, meals, gifts, or money from him, because doing so sends the opposite message and sets expectations that you aren't prepared to meet. At best, it will result in resentment. At worst, you'll stumble into a criminal who will feel betrayed and thus entitled to revenge, and who will beat you up and/or rape you if he thinks he can get away with it.

Men work just as hard for their money as you do, and they're spending it on you for a REASON. You need to understand what that reason is, and also the message you send by accepting their money.

I'll tell them no but they always insist and the buy me drinks without even telling me so I've given up I'm not taking advantage of them. One guy who always pays for everything for I really liked and he rejected me and said he's just a nice guy and is a gentleman

That may be the case for him, but know that he's an exception to the rule, and you wouldn't be smart to assume that's true of everyone.

I don't believe that they don't want any sexual intentions. I did go out in the past a lot and every guy who gave girls a drink wanted to have attention from that girl or even more like sexual intentions. I never gave a free drink to unknown people, and people I know also gave me drinks in return when I gave one to them. Most of the time one person go get the drinks and pay them all and the next round someone else goes and pay for all the drinks and the next round is my turn. That's basically how we did it. But if someone pays everything for you, then they want more then just your friendship.
