Not sure if my neighbor likes me.....

So my neighbor and I had talked a few times, but one night about 5 months ago we had a few and started talking and we ended up kissing and talking about other things of a sexual nature. About a month after that, he was at my door, he said he had a drink upstairs with my name on it. I declined as I was seeing a guy at the time. We didn't really interact much for the next few months, just the odd hello and whacha up to. He did talk to my Dad for about 20 min in the parking lot, when my parents were up visiting, and made a great impression on my Dad. The next time I saw him was after Christmas, where he insisted that I give him a hug- which I did and then flirted with me. A few weeks later we were at our other neighbors drinking and we were getting along great. I happen to overindulge a bit and ended up with my head in a garbage can and asking him to rub my back- which he did. He also dragged my drunken arse to my apartment and tucked me in bed, then went back to the neighbors and cleaned up my mess. The next couple times I ran into him, I couldn't even look him in the eyes, I was mortified! About a week ago I “ran” into him in the hall and asked him if he would like to come over and hang out. Even know he had to get on the road for work in a few hours and had stuff he needed to do, he came over. He started the conversation about his ex- which I thought was weird- that she had cheated on him and he took her back and after that they were engaged and she called it off. Then went on to say that it's hard for him to have a relationship because of his job, but it would be nice if he could find someone who would be OK with his traveling. He also compared himself to my dad, saying he was like him, the old fashion type that honors and respects your wife and provides for his family...all 15 kids...lol He also talked about his future ambitions and his family. He talked a lot more then me, and I'm usually the chatty one. He made eye contact constantly and smiled a lot. When it was time for him to go, he gave me a hug and a kiss on the cheek and told me not to be a stranger. I think he's interested, but I'm not quite sure if he just wants to be friend...can anyone help?

Well I can now tell you that he just wants to be friends. He is not intrested me in anything more :( But the plus side is at least I have a really smart, sweet, funny friend.

He has done almost everything possible to be close to you. He doesn't know where all this is going any more than you do but he's built an open highway with as few surprises as possible if you would like to take a drive to see.

Do you have something better to do socially? If not, then return the favor and open up to him - why you drank so much one night may be due to concerns or history problems he should know for starters. You can dig deeper into why his ex would even want to cheat .. something about her ... about him or his travels?

I was afraid your story was turning toward him taking advantage of you when drunk but noooo, he took care of you and your mess UGH. He talks to your parents? Do you need a neon sign on his forehead that says "I care"?

Thanks :) I'm just not great at picking up signs and really needed a guys opinion. The talking to my Dad really confused me...then my Dad coming back in the apartment and talking about what a great guy he was for 20 mins...really really confused me...if we do start going out, at least I know my Dad likes him and that will be a first...lol

i say go for it, he's definately interested. but ask your self, do you like him? can you be with someone who travleS? he sounds like a genuin down to earthy guy - they are hard to find.
