Does he like me or am I reading too much into everything he does?

I have became close to a man who is engaged..

Can men text message/facebook comment or email nearly every day and it just be a friendship thing? All messages are just small talk.. kind of flirtly but no suggestions of anything actually happening! I really like him and when we meet face to face in work his face seems to light up and he is really chatty... am I reading too much into his contact?

You could be reading into abit too much, although if he shows a lot of attention generally that does show interest... Although if he's engaged I don't think it's a good avenue to go down, I'm not going to preach to you about if you were to do it you'd be making him cheat on his other half blah blah blah, that's stuff you'd already know. But think about other things like, if he did like you and he did do anything about it, he's willing to cheat. And if it all goes bad in the end, you still have to work with the guy. I'd cut my losses and try to move on, I mean either he doesn't like you and you would have to anyway or he does like you, but there is a million reasons not to go down that route.

Unless he contacts you in other ways, like emails and calls you and such, he might just be addicted to facebook... I have friends like that who no matter what I say have a comment..and if I'm not on fb for awhile, will go as far as to send me a text telling me they just posted something and asking me to comment on it *sigh*

yeah maybe you are reading too much into it because you like him. Try to not pay that much attention to him and focus on a guy that is not attached. He may just be overly friendly to you because he doesn't have many friends. good luck
