Girls, guys like to think that they are important to you... do you make them feel that way when they deserve it?

Guys, are you made to feel like her hero or instead, do you feel like a "Forgotten Man"?

On my first date with my future wife, we left the restaurant and stood in the parking lot talking for a long time. When we went to leave, we discovered that the gate had been locked. I hopped over a 6' cinder block wall and had the restaurant let us out. My wife retold that story over and over to her friends. The way she tells it, though, I was like a superhero or ninja. Lol

Another time, when we were still dating, we were riding in the back seat of a car and a couple she knew were in the front. The woman said something and my wife responded spontaneously, without a second though, "Oh, [Lliam] can do 'anything'!" The woman in front turned around with a wide eyed expression and then glanced at her husband to silently say "Yep. She's definitely in love." Lol

My wife makes me feel special all the time with little things. She asks me questions about things or asks for my advice and makes me feel smart and wise. When walking, she'll put her hand in mine and makes me feel loved, like I'm her knight in shining armor. When I do some task around the house, she makes me feel like Superman. When she comes up to stand in front of me, wraps her arms around me and looks up into my eyes, she makes me feel like a man.

It's a great feeling to be looked up to. I look up to her, as well. She is hard working and I also look to her for advice and wisdom. We're a team.

I sincerely hope the world never dims your light laurie. This is the second of your questions that I've commented on so far and you have a beautiful spirit to be asking these types of questions.
I wish I had someone to believe in me like I was some kind of superhero. I wish i had someone to believe in and make her feel like a superhero.
My hope for the kind of love you see is fading but it should never be underrated to make another person feel good.

I'm not deluded into thinking so highly of myself. I'm a man, simple as that, and I don't need someone to bolster my opinion, as I tend to ignore comments about it in general, though I'll listen to criticism more often since growth will come from being uncomfortable, and challenged.
Someone placating my ego is not beneficial to me, or to them, if we're to grow together in a relationship. Should they show they love me? Yes, that's simply done by spending time with the other, and learning about them, caring, being selfless, and otherwise being excellent. We then build off that foundation.

But if you put your full heart into a relationship and wear each other shoes and remove selfishness that’s where love will grow. I'm not sure exactly how women see men, I guess as a hero to protect them is part of it but I can't really guess at the minutia of what goes through their minds. I do know that some women are way more interested in who I am and others more in what I can do for them. The deeper the woman thinks the more interested I am in her is all I can say.

I have few complaints about the women I have been in relationships with - nearly all of them did a good job of this. The hard part is finding a new partner when you lose the former partner (usually to outside circumstances in my case).

I've actually gotten jaded when it comes to compliments in general. Besides family, very few people give me praise without an ulterior motive behind it. People aren't really interested in my life enough to compliment a lot.
