Why didn't he congratulate my birthday?

The guy I have been seeing for 2 years has not congratulated my birthday. We have been see each other a week ago, he was a little distant (before that last time he asked me if I love him).
His birthday was 2 months ago, and I bought him a perfume, he liked it.
When it was woman's day he bought me a perfume, I didn't expect it, it was recent ant that time and asked me do I love him. Today I post the flowers on instagram story and wrote how old I was, he saw my story but didn't answer. And now he post something funny of corona on insta story. Why didn't he congratulate my birthday?

I did't told him when is my birthday. Last year we didn't been together so he doesn't know. I only tell him a month ago that my birthday is soon but I never told him when is.

He realized he is in the doghouse cuz he forgot your birthday so he is pretending he didn’t see your post. if he really likes you , right now he is planning on how to make it up to you cuz he knows he messed up big time lol Now if he doesn’t acknowledge your Birthday at all then that should be your answer to dump his ass. The thing is a lot of people aren’t good with remembering birthdays it doesn’t mean they don’t care about you , and yes it sucks when you aren’t acknowledged on your birthday and it happens. Or if he's ignoring, then I'd suggest you to move on as it means he don't seem to care .

You deserve to feel special and loved, if he failed to make you feel that way (no matter what day it is (your birthday or not)) there you have it dear... the reason why you should dump him.., but he may have been busy or something , so if he sincerely wants to make it up to you and apologise, just accept it and let go... otherwise it's very evident that you deserve better.

But as of now, I'd suggest you to wait before jumping to conclusions.

So first thing is i think (please do not take it personal) he is not interested in you, or he is utilizing your sweet and kind nature. Did you ever try to hangout often during that 2 years. If yes, then it is clear that he is more interested in something else. Please find out.

The tips i am going to give now will help your bond to get stronger with your partner. Try to avoid him, make sure you act for not remembering his birthday and surprise him that evening. Give him something which cannot be bought rather, achieved from relation (i am not saying going physical) but show how much he is important to you and make him realize his mistakes. Sit with him and try to talk with each other find out what made him not remember your birthday if he is truly in love with you.

Hope this helps you clear your doubts. And Let me tell you something forgetting your love ones birthday for once is fine can be understandable for either not having clue or did not know. He is a bad boyfriend, he was busy, he just got many things on his head, or maybe the last and the awful one... he don't love you that much... and to give you my point of view, I will need some answers...

1. Is the first time he does this?
2. How long ago have u 2 been dating?
3. He talks to you like a friend... or like soooo simple?

In your last question you had said you told him you loved him and he just grinned or gave a little smile (I can't remember which). Between that and this situation, it is obvious to me he does not care about you the way you think or he thinks he does. He may have just gotten you the Woman's day gift as a niceness, but it doesn't sound to me that he is into you, or into you as much as he was before. I would tell him it might be best if the two of you saw other people for a while. You may somebody who is more considerate towards you.

As far as the birthday goes, he had no way of knowing WHEN this month because you didn't tell him specifically when. Then again, he didn't ask either. Sweetie I would say it is time for you to move on from him. Even if he IS into you, he isn't showing it in a considerate manner.

Well you said he's been distant lately right? Maybe there was a problem before you birthday. He could have possibly regretted committing to you or maybe there is something that you said or did that made him uncomfortable. Either way, I don't know enough details to tell you anything definitive but if he was already distant prior to your birthday then there was probably something that triggered his behavior and subsequently, not telling you Happy Birthday. During our college years, I have a friend who's boyfriend intentionally avoided her for a whole week starting from her birthday itself. He later admitted that he knew but he had avoided anything & everything about her birthday. He wanted the birthday week to "die down until forgotten" simply because he was broke and couldn't get her a gift. He planned to just "reappear later on" like nothing happened. We said, "WTF! That's a very selfish reason! All she wanted was a loving greeting from you, dude. You could have been honest instead of leaving her puzzled & neglected."

Anyway, apparently, being penniless bothered him so much that he became insecure about it. He kept on staying away whenever there was another special day among us or when we'd all go out to places where spending (even just a bit) was a probability. Eventually, after several months, she got tired of making the effort going to his parents' house to make out.
