Why do men perceive a woman who isn’t a virgin as having been “used” already?

Question

A guy once told me “would you buy and drink from an open soda bottle” when talking about non-virgin women. I find this very insulting, I’m a virgin myself but I don’t look at guys who’ve had sex as having been “used”. Why is it that men view it this way? Is it because of the inherent vulnerability of women, and that by giving that vulnerability away, they somehow become “used” and “damaged goods”?

I think that guy was part of a small minority. Sex is about discovery and pleasure. With experienced women it is easier to discover.

I personally feel sex will only be as good as both partners allow it to be. Having had different partners would allow you accumulate all of that experience and knowledge so you can add that to you next partner. Of you only are with virgins you'd never have a better time than that you'd always had.

Also an experienced partner will make a first time much more enjoyable. Being older and losing your virginity might actually make the experience really nice. It at least was the case for me.

It is also very hypocritical for him not to be a virgin...

Girls look at different traits for ideal men than men look for in a girl. So just accept you aren't ever going to "get it". But yeah he's right. Women who have casual sex are damaged goods.

Literally everyone has or is going to lose their virginity. There's absolutely nothing wrong with it, and any guy who judges a girl for it or thinks of them as some 'used' object, is a jerk and still has a lot of growing up to do. Besides, if they aren't a virgin either , wouldn't that make them 'used' as well?

I have no issue with them not being a virgin. One this world is a tough place to stay a virgin. If they do like yourself it is refreshing to know that sex is not what you are all about. Some people just fall into a trap of loneliness and think having sex will make it better, only to find out it does not. Funny how guys feel that way about girls and not other guys. It is exactly that, is it not? she has been touched and defiled by another man that is not you, meaning she has developed a serious connection (or not) with a man and allowed him to do that to her, and then for whatever reason, it did not work out. Its one of the biggest redflags you could find in a woman.

Sure the used one may have been fixed up, prove reliable, hell you might even find yourself growing attached to it.
