You literally see beautiful and successful women dating ugly deadbeat old bumps who beat them and steal their money.

Because women's standards ARE high! Super high, in fact. And this is mostly because men put up with this crap. Basic supply and demand. Men want women a lot more than any women seem to want men, nowadays. Not to mention all the queer women (lesbians) and feminists out there. It's hard to find a good woman who is still attracted to men anymore.

And Pete Davidson is a celebrity himself that's on SNL and probably worth several million and he's younger than all the women he dates, so if anything, his youth and this women's beauty for their age cancel each other out. He's almost dating down (and Ariana Grande isn't hot sh*t anyway; only women would ever want to date that over-glammed trollop; most men would want nothing to do with her).

Everyone in both sexes are equally fucked up their heads. We all claim to have high standards but do nothing to achieve those standards and end up settling for less than average. Most likely that behvaior derives from our upbringing and how we seen our parents interact OR from being jaded by some love at one point in our lives. Everyone is different and has different reasons for their choices but in the end we all pretty much get to our stupid decision making skills and sets of standards by our past experiences which are usually all about the same shit

I'm not trying to be rude but honestly a guy can be ugly but have money, be funny, do drugs, drink booze and more modern day girls who party and do drugs will like that. The problem isn't why men think women's standards are too high. It's that a woman has lowered her standards what an ideal man should be. A modern day girl today (not all) may want to go after a guy who's 6 ft 4, smokes pot, drinks, love her dearly and have money. That's why I got tired of using dating apps because all I see are girls drinking and partying. I asked myself many times, if a find a girl online with that life style will she like me and accept me for me and ditch the party girl persona? Chances are she won't ditch it. About the Pete Davidson thing, Pete makes wayyy more then the average guy or a man in society. Just off SNL, he makes over $300,000 year that's without movies, other shows or endorsements. But I think women's standards are too high, y'all want a specific type of dude, with a specific religion or non-religious, has to be x-tall, have x-features. I'm Muslim but my mom is cool if I marry even a Christian girl, I don't care if a girl is 10 years younger then me or a few years older, I don't care if a girl makes $50,000 or $1,000,000, I don't care if a girl is 5'2 or 6'2, I don't care if she has a small ass or a big ass, I don't care if she can cook or not. I could ask why do girls reject guys so quickly without knowing him? Wouldn't that indicate a girl has high expectations?

Women have higher standards because guys date down for sex but they seldom marry down. Therefore, since guys out of their league will fuck them, they set as their standard, the hottest guys that will fuck them and reject guys in their league that would marry them.

Also, because occasionally (perhaps as high as 10%) a guy will marry down if it is a girl he is fucking. Girls know this, and (although unrealistic) they believe that that they too can strike gold and marry the guy they are fucking.

A lot of men really focus on what women say they want vs what they actually go for.

When people speak about what they want they tend to think of some kind of checklist of things to tick off. But dating isn’t like a job interview. A woman doesn’t fall for a guy because he ticks boxes. She falls for him based on how he makes her feel.

A woman’s ideal man might be above 6 feet tall, but she meets a guy who is much shorter who makes her feel amazing.

A woman’s ideal man might make 6 figures. But then she meets a man who makes that kind of money and he’s just a bit “meh”. Yeah he’s got money and he’a dressed well but he’s boring. Then she meets a guy who makes nowhere near who makes her laugh and has other qualities she really likes.

Well, he seems to be a successful comedian who dates women who are also in show business. Doesn't sound that crazy to me. And Kate is 20 years older than him, so I suspect that she doesn't think he's such a bum and she got what she wanted- a much younger guy.
