Yeah, if it's to someone who is mutually interested in you, but don't make the same mistake some other guys do, random text and then no follow up for a week, that just starts a chase me/ignore me game which is not nice. Follow it up the next day with a "hey, how are you, what you been up to?" text. You won't even need to explain the random text, she'll just be relieved you followed it up and didn't leave her hanging, screaming at her phone WTF for 5 days! x
