I'd like to think that women don't like psychopaths - Or actually they do because psychopaths know when to show such emotions... Maybe my experience is much different than yours - but I never was the "strong dominant man", at least towards women specifically - my "dominance" might show in the group since that I'm very opinionated and quite entertaining - with women I'm usually just fun to be around, teasing bantering flirting and knowing each other and I've had really good interactions and relationships I'd say - I also was able to open up with a few of them - the ones I thought I was really close to and they're still the only people that know such things about me - They never made me feel like I should regret it even after it was over.. Don't hate them and don't "learn" everything you hear from people it just makes you resentful
I've seen some women say that once the man opened up to them they lost their mystery and moved on. Then I've seen some say it brought them closer together then ever. Guess it depends on the girl tbh. Not everyone is in a relationship for the right reasons. My dad was so drilled into not having emotions he has never shed a tear at any funeral that he's been to. Not for either of his parents or his grandmother, no one. I grew up under a hyper masculine roof and went to school in a hyper gynocentric school system. It wasn't the healthiest mix tbh, no balance really.

^ This kind of thinking is actually a clear sign of emotional trauma, I suggest you cut toxic relationships out of your life, and seek therapy.
i’ve only heard men tell other men, usually fathers to their son’s, to “man up” which is one of the upheld standards of the patriarchy by the patriarchy. (yeah i know blah feminism blah a lot of people hate these words but i believe it to be true). anyways personally i prefer a man who is open and communicates about his feelings and not so boarded up. this macho man ideal is one of the reasons the male suicide rate is so high but like i said i’ve only seen/heard men say it so to answer the original question, i think it’s actually that most men are afraid to be emotional in front of other men. and if a woman doesn’t like you to talk about your emotions, she also has her own problems she needs to work out on her own. but that’s just my take on it…

I'm a Dominant man, and don't hide my feelings at all. If something bothers me, everyone knows. If the woman I'm with don't like it, the door swings both ways.
I'm not insecure simply because I don't give a f'k about being judged. Everyone is welcomed to it and has to do it to some degree. I really don't 'need' validation from random people either.
I'm not offended by a woman telling me to 'man up' or saying anything at all to be honest. My woman can be upset and insult me, throw a tantrum, want to stab me in the forehead with a kitchen knife, it don't phase me. I only require respect and if I feel I've been disrespected I let it be known. Of course, being stabbed in the forehead I consider highly disrespectful, otherwise, it will pass or the door still swings both ways.

True. Women look for their man to be their emotional rock. A lighthouse in their stormy seas of feelings and emotions all swirling around in their little head.
If you show weakness she'll instantly lose respect for you. And men don't HAVE a feminine side. PERIOD.

This isn't to say guys don't have ANY emotions, it's just a very different dynamic and a basic difference between the two genders. Embrace it, don't fight it. IT's the giant lie of feminism that everybody is the same and equal. They are not, never have been and never will be.
Raising little boys to be like little girls is the latest giant failure of our current culture. Both genders of children need a strong male figure in their life, so they come to understand the value of what being a man is. No, a woman can't be a father. PERIOD.
Women want and are attracted to strong and stoic men. This may piss a lot of the male feminists and white knights out there but it is true. Women view emotional men as weak , incapable of protecting them - this did not bode well in the days when our ancestors lived in caves and their were large predatory animals trying to kill you , your mate and your off spring or perhaps enemy tribes trying to kidnap you. Men had to be strong and dominant - if you were weak you had a higher chance of being killed.
Indeed , times have changed and our modern society is very different but our genome is the same as 10,000 years ago. Culture changes in a few generations - evolution on the other hand takes eons.
Short answer, masculinity and Femininity need too be balance between a human beingn, you can be an emotionally strong man but also feminine and you can be a gentle women but also mescaline, because today's problem is that men thinks being masculine is to fight against others men and not to cry like a baby because that will be feminine, I mean sure because I think women are doing the exact same damn thing as well, even some women are being more like men this days.
I don't think there's a line you can draw between what you should be or do regardless of what gender you are. I think society have made men too fucking masculine and women too feminine and some women too masculine.
I think some of the best han quality came from gay people with both gender because they don't have any boundary between gender restriction.
Don't believe what women say, they don't lie but their pussies have different criteria in partner choice and admiration than their brains.
Women are very often obsessive about banalities and they circle around with their thoughts about some things which a guy decides in milliseconds. You're the one who put things right and of course takes responsibility. Because this is what women won't do.
You can be the STRONG DOMINANT MAN occasionally in bed room, but all the time you have to be the one who knows what to do.
Of course men can be emotional to us. Even under the lens of "men must be dominant and strong" to be attractive to us, think of it this way.

What shows strength more than showing others how you really feel, without letting society dictate how you feel about it?
Inner strength like that is infinitely more appealing than some emotionally stunted man with trust issues. You have emotions, express them.
I like men same as I like myself & women or humans. You can cry you can be sad it’s ok … this gorilla style to be strong etc wtf we are not living in the Hellenic Times. It’s ok for a men to be emotional. If I have a son I wouldn’t want him to be this abnormal to satisfy some social norms.

I agree for most cases but I think that there should be reasons and situations where you should be able to show your weaknesses or problems to her. That´s something different than being emotional or a drama queen.

Being a strong dominant man does not mean you're emotionally stale... that's not attractive at all. Just like with everything else in life, there should be a balance, and having and also maintaining that balance is what makes ANY individual strong in my opinion.

This topic is a great example of how women will say one thing but do another, and it's why men give men better dating advice than women do.
Women will say they like it when men are emotional because it's what they are supposed to say and it makes them feel better about themselves, but men being emotional is a classic turnoff to women who are not already in love with the man, and even then it can make them feel "icky".

Listen to what women are saying. There is a difference between you being a strong man who sometimes needs emotional support and be a very baby. They love the first and hate the second. Just like they hate a man who never is vulnerable.
Trust me women do love when a tough man relies on her occasionally.
I have my own experience to prove this.
Spot on my man, spot on. Women will always dispute this because they want to feel in touch with their man. But this is one of the things women don't know about themselves till it happens. As soon as it does she'll judge him harshly for it. And she'll chalk it up to one of them women things that she doesn't fully understand. It's just one of the things women never take responsibility for.
Men are more emotional than women but we just don’t show it like women do.

well they can in very narrowly defined areas. for example if their dog or their mom dies. but if they are emotional outside of the unspoken boundaries, she'll leave.
