Was he deliberating on whether or not to wish me?

My guy friend knew it was my birthday since morning but since I haven't been talking to him since the last 2 months so he didn't wish me immediately. It was like at 11:30 pm just before 12 that he wished me. I guess he was deliberating on whether or not he should do it? Like he cared enough. He wished me with hearts emoji.

He stares at me a lot (mostly when I'm not looking) and flirts with me a lot too...

I'm not overthinking. I just found it strange that he knew since morning it was my birthday (he saw all of my friends posting messages for me) but he waited till so late to wish me.

If you're sure he knew it, then he did it deliberately, he wasn't deliberating. Since you haven't spoken for 2 months, he wanted to make you think that he doesn't care (like playing hard) and you get surprised by his wish

I think he was deliberating because like I said I was ignoring him for 2 months even though he had been trying to talk to me sometimes. So I guess he thought I don't care about him at all and his wish wouldn't matter.

Just something happened and I didn't know how to discuss that with him. I did talk to him very nicely though when he wished me and everything seems fine between us now.
