Why would my now engaged ex who I didn’t speak to since 2018 message me out of nowhere?

I asked him how his love life was and he told me he’s engaged.. is it not odd to randomly message me we only dated for two months maybe three. In 2018. it went really sour and he blocked me but we became civil months later after I messaged him on another account.
but after a few months we blocked one another again and never spoken again for three years or so till …… yesterday, when he randomly followed me on Instagram and messaged me asking how I am

Probably wants to know if you moved from him. The fact that you both blocked each other a couple times & haven’t spoken in 3 years kinda shows whatever relationship you guys had was definitely gonna fail. I’d move on from him.

Not sure if its just me but i think about everyone always. Rather it be former lovers, bullys or friends I've abandoned. Things come around full circle sometimes. Maybe he married to show he can be happy and he fooled himself, so now he's in a regretable situation, and he still has some attatchment for you and is bitter because of how things ended.
3 years sounds like you were his last love.
