u I am 67 and I have a girlfriend who is 58. We have been together since December 2020. If I was not in a relationship, dating would not be a problem.
At this age, if a guy is looking to see how many women he can get in bed in a year, he can probably find a few, as my generation uses online dating effectively and with great success. However, at my age, most women are not looking for a casual roll in the hay. Most are eager to find a partner for long term commitment because they are afraid of being alone as they get older. Almost ALL of us have that fear and my observation is not meant as a criticism in any way.
I have that same desire for long term commitment and that makes me more desireable to women. I also am extremely loyal and have never been unfaithful to a partner (although I had two partners be unfaithful to me); again, that scores points with women. I am a gentleman and I treat my partner like a queen, but I expect to be treated like a king.
Do I still look hot? NO, I was never hot :) and I have great hair and a few extra pounds. But all of us at this age are older and show signs of aging. We all accept that and don't expect our partners to look like movie stars. Also, while I never would have nee attracted to a 65 year old woman when I was younger, my preferences have changed with age. While younger women still look very attractive to me, there are many older women who also look attractive and it is not a "pretend" attraction.
At this age, if I like a woman, I tell her and I don't get concerned about whether she will think I am too clingy or needy. I just tell her how I feel and I hope that she responds with equal candor. If I don't want to see a woman for a second date, I tell her that I don't think we are a good match; I don't give her excuses or ghost her. If I do want to see her again, I will probably tell her that at the end of the first date. I don't text her and then obsess about how long she takes to respond; I call her and we talk on the phone and we communicate much more effectively that way.
If "having game" means playing those games that occupy so many younger people, then. . . no, I don't "have game." If it means can I get back into the dating scene and find women for first dates, have those dates, and keep the process going until I find someone who I think is a good match (and she feels the same about me, of course) then, yes, I'm still doing that. . . except that I am very loyal and already in a relationship so my dating skills are on an indefinite hiatus.
Being an old fart myself, women are still shopping retirement packages. If the guy is well off, he is still more attractive than a loyal man who is just getting by.
The good thing is that older guys get to pick and choose. It's the opposite than women had the power to choose, most guys who have somwthin, even a funded 401(k) can be picky.
Of course, all the women I have known were well into debt, shopping therapy, and impulsive purchasing, often turn me off and tend to be red flags.

I can't say thats common. But when most people look to marry, they're looking for someone they can grow old with. You can't grow old with someone that is already old. Its only a matter of time before they start looking for another spouse , 10 years into the marriage.
Not for women who want to have a family, 40+ is too old. Men's fertility declines as well and though many believe they can have children till they're 70... well, after 40 genetic diseases appear in children because their sperm quality is lower. Not to mention, having a child after 40 they will already be old and tired as the child grows up and I'd say most women don't want that for their children if they can avoid it.
That being said, if a woman doesn't want children, already has them or is past that age then they can be absolutely interested in men over 40. I think people start falling apart physically and health wise after 45 though so unless the guy is a millionaire I don't expect a woman under 30 would be interested in them anyways unless she has some mental problems like daddy issues etc.

I’d say yes because as a man gets older he becomes wiser especially if he has been through a lot and he actually has a heart , I am 44 now and I can honestly write a book based off of my own experiences and things I learned through out my life , Not saying I am perfect because I am far from it and none of us are perfect , but things that I know now compared to things I knew then are completely different , I think that’s why most younger girls are attracted To older guys especially these days , Most girl’s are attracted to a guy she can look up to that can listen to her and guide her , Understand her and appreciate her , I have an attraction to younger girls mainly cuz I feel i can treat her the way a girl should be treated compared to the young me when I really didn’t have a clue and I was selfish and only really thinking about myself A big part of me now wants to write a book based off of my experiences through out life , with hopes of maybe helping someone else whether they agree with me or not, I still feel it would be good reading material whether I am right or wrong , I love to read myself and I analyze a lot of shit in my head of all the good and bad and experiences through out my life in general and in relationships At Times I question myself as to why am I still here on this planet , Cuz I feel like I experienced enough but apparently I still have more to experience and find out What else is in store For me , The brain is a powerful thing that we as people really don’t have much control over , We all like to think we know it all and what’s best for us but really we don’t have a clue because life is basically 2 sides of a coin , we can only learn from what choices we make throughout life , just because we think something is ok , it doesn’t mean others will think the same , I can go on and on but to answer Your question , Yes , because most girls are attracted to a guy that she can look up to , she is intrigued by his knowledge or his status , a girl will cheat on her current man for a guy she feels is more of a man then her current man , She will be drawn to his status and confidence and knowledge if he is a boss or others look up to him she is more prone to getting on her knees to him , overlooking the man she has right in front of her but little does she realize, if she takes that same man she is suddenly attracted to and puts him in a janitor outfit she won’t be that attracted to him anymore , why girl’s are dumb in that aspect but most girls were raised since childhood to be with a guy that she can look up to that can provide and guide her , she will throw away a good man that she has right in front of her for a guy based off of his status , little does she know that guy she is looking up to will bang her but he will not commit to her cuz he already realizes she is trash for cheating on her husband or boyfriend.
