Like was I invading his space or something? At first, I asked if he was going to the dance he said "No" it seemed a little cold, so I just asked if he was going to the other ones instead... and he just said "I just don't want to go to the dance"... it seemed even more cold like he was annoyed. Was I digging in his space / private life? But before he seemed sweet and happy... did I say the wrong thing? Should I have even asked? - Oh yeah, he's, my friend... well not close friends... but my friend

Sounds to me like he was just in a bad mood. Maybe he doesn't know how to dance and he's embarrassed. I don't know but that's what I come up with
