Those things are vague, especially for a clueless shy guy. What he's looking for is assurance that he won't be rejected or hurt. A statement that you like him as more than a friend would definitely do that.

Maybe he never really "liked" me to begin with I will say he could just be physically attracted to me but I've learned that just because he looks doesn't mean he's interested. I do get ahead of myself a lot. I always put the cart before the horse.
