The single biggest reason is Radical Feminism (which is really just Marxists who took over Feminism to push Marxist policies).

Marxism is incapable of beating western, capitalist democracies militarily or economically, so they're trying to beat us through subversion - by changing how we think and act without us realizing why we are doing so. A favorite tactic is to take over existing protest movements and subvert them into pushing for Marxist goals. They took over Feminism, the Racial Equality movement, and they took over colleges (and more recently schools at all levels).

The point of this subversion was to weaken western countries at every level, and one of the main pillars of strength that Marxists identified in the west was the nuclear family - families stuck together and supported each other and an attack on one member was seen as an attack on the whole family, and people rallied to support their family. That couldn't be allowed to continue. Feminism was taken over in order to destroy the nuclear family, and that was done by destroying and demonizing the moral framework that created the nuclear family. Feminism was the excuse given - the disguise worn - but it was always Marxist goals that were being pushed.

Feminism encouraged women to be hedonistic (men didn't need much encouragement; it's always been women who have set and enforced moral standards) and told them that there were no consequences for doing so - and still tells them this. The 1960's "free love" has evolved into "Hot Girl Summer", but it's all the same thing. And the government was manipulated and shamed into supporting this, both with policy and with financial incentives.

LBJ's "Great Society" created a welfare system for mothers with children - BUT only if the father wasn't in the home. What do you think this did to marriage? In 1960, a little over 80% of black children were born to married parents. In 2020, that stat had fallen to 17%. I believe the current stat for white children is around 36%, which is better but still horrible. This policy encourages single motherhood, and pays for it with tax dollars, and yet it's long been proven that children that grow up without a father in the home are FAR more likely to have serious problems. Boys who grow up without a father are SEVEN TIMES more likely to go to prison than boys who grow up with a father.

The Marxist subversion had many tentacles, but taking over Feminism and Racial Equality movements were huge factors, as was taking over colleges. Our current Identity Politics and "wokeness" all stems from Marxist subversion, and is all designed to destroy our culture from within.

In the 1980s, a KGB Colonel defected to the US, and a few years later was publicly interviewed, and one of the things he explained was that, while movies and media depicted the KGB as primarily a spy organization, that spying only represented 15% of their foreign budget - the other 85% of their budget was spent on SUBVERSION - influencing people's thinking and values without them realizing who was causing the changes or why.

The cancer of Marxism has spread very wide in the west, and it thrives when people ignore it, but it will literally destroy your future if you don't fight it.

Not all of us have become slaves to desire (easy to control / predict these people). But in answer to your question this is my opinion.

People are not much different than animals in this regard. When you train an animal you reward behavior you want to encourage & punish behavior you want to discourage.

You can blame the media, government or whatever but in reality it's society on a collective level who chooses what to reward & what to punish & it takes some belief in something greater than yourself to resist / overcome.

There are those who seek to control the masses as there's many tangible benefits. The purest definition of evil is simply to serve ones self & this is what most of us are succumbing to.

Because schools have been dumbed down, as has entertainment and the exchange of ideas. It is in the interest of the ruling class to have the tax cattle barely above the level of mental retardation so that they are easy to control politically, and banging like rabbits to keep popping out future taxpayers and voters. Thankfully we haven’t reached the Orwellian level of Newspeak yet, but if current trends continue that is a legitimate worry.
