My best friend got rejected by a girl and now he's different?

He really liked this girl and they would hangout together all the time. They would even have dates together and this went on for a period of 3-4 months. He then asked her out and then got rejected by her which I was really surprised by, he took it well and they hung out a lot less. He did seem affected by it also (this was like 5 months ago). I asked him whether he was ok and he just said he was fine. He then started to work out more, we don't really hangout lots anymore. A couple months later he hangs out with different friends and they're not exactly nice people 'players' as people call them and he's got a girlfriend now not that girl though. Is there way to revert him back or is it too late?

He needed a change, the girls he sought after turned him down, he saw that he was lacking and figured he needed to be different. This is the result, he won't change back unless he wants to. If I were you I would at least warn him about the players.

So is what he's doing bad or good?

He's doing his own thing, wether good or bad I can't say because I don't know him. But if he's working on himself trying to improve then he's got the right idea.
Tell him to value his intimacy, players give theirs away like candy and thats bad for his self-respect.
