If a guy asks you out, should it be up to him to confirm (day of), or up to the woman? I feel if the man asked, he should confirm. Not leave it up to you to call and ask if it's still on. If he doesn't confirm I don't think it's a good sign. Thoughts?
I guess things have changed over time. I've always believed a commitment is a commitment. If a commitment is made, it is kept, unless an emergency comes up. If an emergency does come up, then it's the responsibility of the person unable to keep the commitment to inform the other person as soon as possible. If a date is to be confirmed the day of the date, it sounds like the guys you choose tend to be flakes. How many business meetings do you confirm the day of the meeting? I understand medical and dental appointments tend to be confirmed before the appointment, as those appointments are generally made far in advance. Unless it's been more than a few weeks since the commitment was made, commitments don't need to be confirmed.

I think it doesn't matter whoever confirms since it has to be a mutually agreed thing.
