Is he weird, shy, or egotistical?

So, there was a guy i met at a (school) club.. and then a few days later I saw him in the hallway. He kinda was being a promotion person for another club and asked me to join.. and then i lended up going to that club and another one which he also happened to be part of and he didn't say a word to me. he didn't say hi or wave when i gave him a quick smile. nothing. i caught him glance at me 2-3 times but then he turned away when i caught him.

is he weird or am i just being egotistical myself?

quick update...

he was happily chit chatting w/ girls next to me, i just didn't join the convo cause I wasn't sure if i was making him uncomfortable.

also, he doesn't even know me... he has only seen me once until now!

I think he just doesn't want to talk. If someone just waves to me and I've only talked to them once, there's like an 80% chance I ignore it unless I need to talk to them again

He is shy i was like this growing up, when I used to see my crush i used to get nervous and run away without making eye contact
