Depends. I had texted a guy that would always 'be the first' to text me just at night, and our conversations would be logical, but short-lived, and quickly hinted on towards sexual topics. It was almost 'routine,' and definitely clear what his interest was in.

Otherwise, texting late or earlier on could just be the most convenient time. It's "time off," and time off can be spent doing a variety of things XD

He might be really busy during the day. He might be like me, often disliking long text conversations but still wanting my friends to feel cared about, and so intentionally sends texts at night in hopes that the person he's texting is asleep and won't respond immediately.

Or maybe not. Maybe that's just me. But I wouldn't immediately think of his exclusive night texting as suspicious.

I'd be fine with it because my boyfriend sometimes texts me at night because he works as a cook during the day
