Help me out with my crush?

There is this dude at my class (uni) i always feel like he has something for me like i always catch him staring at me.

We make eye contact everytime he sometimes awkwardly smiles at me or he talks to me about class sometimes

The thing is he is preety and i also have something for him but sometimes i wonder if it's just in my head that i think too much about it that i felt like he likes me But last time my friend pointed out that she notice him looking at me and she thinks he has a crush on me i was really happy that maybe it's not just in my head Then on Friday he texts me out of the blue i was happy but we have been texting for like 3 days or so but his texts are somehow dry and he text back after an hour and I'm confused like if he has a crush on me why would he be dry?

Well, dry as in? Not being straightforward about liking you / giving a full disclosure?

Maybe he's shy, and doesn't want to seem too excited / on fire about you. Including the 1 hour delay. Since a LOT of guys act like that and sometimes it can be deemed as creepy / awkward. Saving face more like it, some would say XP
