It’s painfully obvious this guy I like doesn’t talk to me?

i like this guy on my track/shot put team. there's 3 girls: me, a freshman, & my friend. there's 3 boys: him (‘k’), a guy in his grade, & a guy in my grade. we would have practice my coach would always talk to me or say sum ab me as a convo to where everyone starts pitching in w them mostly talking to me directly ab whatev it is. everytime its always: coach starts the convo, guy from his grade starts talking to me, guy from my grade joins in, my friend talking to me too, freshman is listening. but then he's just off practicing to throw not saying anything as he went. but i could tell he was listening? or if he isn’t the one going the guys when they go would still talk as they went to throw. when ‘k’ would not throw he would wait & i would see him awkwardly stand there wandering off listening, but not looking like he is. i see him talk w every1 else on the team, even my friend (its so natural & casual?) yet its painfully obvious he doesn’t talk to me. he just looks at me w some sort of intent? i talk w everyone on the team too yet its so weird that he doesn’t talk to me & its weird to talk to him bc of that. i had a meet yesterday, & the guys stood near my area waiting for their event (i was next to coach getting ready for shot put) but then he looked at my direction got up & went off to our schools spot & wait there instead? at this point im thinking he literally hates me 😭😭 did many things like that. i talk w coach & he's saying how he should tell the boys not to joke at me next time & goes on saying how ‘k’ would do this & that & how he shouldn’t make jokes w the boys ab me when i never heard him say anything? i would talk w some1 on my team ab what we’re doing & everytime they would say something ab ‘k’ (for example: “oh yea ‘k’ said-“ “oh ‘k’! …”) meaning he’s involved w every1 & im j like not me.. he legit HATES me. any reasons why he’s being like this/thoughts?

Without knowing him personally its only speculation but I know from my experience if it were me and guys I knew/know is either he also likes you just not confident/too shy to talk to you or he really wants nothing to do with you so he is intentionally avoiding you. I was a painfully shy young man so I know exactly how it is not being able to confront my emotions. If you're shy also I would suggest asking a friend to inquire why he does that to you or confront him yourself if you're not shy. At your age emotions are uncertain and somewhat new for most people, don't take it personally.
