What does this man want now?

I’m a woman with Asperger’s Syndrome, so I don’t pick up on subtleties of communication. This guy Ian who was chasing me for a year, who also has Asperger’s, blocked me on both my old Facebook profiles when I said his behaviour wasn’t good for either of us. He was scaring me, last year. Now I’ve got a new profile and added a mutual friend Ian doesn’t talk to anymore; and Ian keeps looking up my profile repeatedly, but not saying or doing anything. What does he want?

He is just curious about you and he does not act by following you or becoming friends by fear that you will delete your account. By doing so, he would lose your trace again.

It is a form of stalking but more a discreet one because he does not want to intervene and risk to be blocked. As long as you don't talk or chat with him, there is not much you should do. Once he becomes more active or starts chatting with you, then you can block him to prevent a verbal escalation.

The important thing is not to give him any details about your real life such as an address, date of birth or anything that would allow him to find out where you live because then, the social stalking could become a real, physical one.

There’s not enough information provided to say what he really wants. I don’t think that being in the spectrum is a factor. It sounds more just like regular scary guy shit. Guys have a competitive nature about them and they tend to bring it into every aspect of their lives whether it’s with (most commonly) another male or a dog, a child, and in this case with you and other men. My guess is he’s checking up on you to see how he is competing with you in a relationship and how he is fairing against other males in your life.
