Anyone is free to apply whatever they want on their face lol. I personally wouldn't mind my partner wearing a bit of natural makeup. Foundation/concealer is great to even out the skin tone when you have pigmentation issues. Eyebrow gel is great to set thick eyebrows and eyelashes in place and even parts of the facial hair if you will. If you're in the middle of growing out a beard and you are in the awkward patchy phase which does get better if you leave it alone, you can meanwhile cover the sparse areas with an eyebrow powder or eyeshadow in a color that closely matches your facial hair until the beard grows out well. A touch of bronzer can bring some warmth and dimension that can make you look a lot healthier. Colored hairspray or hair powder can make wonky hairline look better.
Men on the media/television do wear makeup. So do men who model. It can be a confidence booster if you are a public speaker or you meet a lot of clients and colleagues in your profession and are frequently going into parties and events. It's harmless, let people be.
You dont have to write a damn essay
@Äxlbäksölöl not do you have to comment on what people people are saying.
Guys need not wear makeup!
Just think, if a guy wore makeup before the recent time we are in, he would for sure get bullied and beat up and called a fagot.
I know that females have to have everything men have and they are invading your territory, but guys, wearing make up isn't anyway to get back at them. Don't do it.
The romans wore makeup. But I get what you are saying.
I have history degree... so just wanted to make a point. The guys in the trenches preserving the future generations were not the same as the aristocrats or highly affluent types that wore make up. Men in history did so more as a status symbol of their wealth. Because it was expensive and considered excessive. But those types were not out there on the front lines or doing any of the hard manly work, that truly propelled the culture or society forward.
So, my point has nothing to do with anything else other than that, other than saying when the barbarian hordes came knocking, people were not looking to men in makeup or wigs to turn the tide. Unless they were wearing war paint as make up then yeah, they were bad ass barbarian slaying mamma jamma's!
Men were first to wear make up in ancient civilizations. Women just had to be extra and do the same. Your pretty female so called colors were first men's also. Your type of clothing men wore first before any. female was even allowed to. That's why women through out history have fought for all they have today is because you all want what we have.
Don't the men want to look good and sexy? Why can't men use makeup to enhance their looks
Why guys need not wear makeup? I fail to understand
@suzzieQ no Susie. Let me spell I truth for you. Powder on a male news anchor face isn't there to contour his facial structure or make him look youthful or more flush. It'd to stop the grease of his skin from reflecting the huge amount of light they use on set. It is in no way at all comparable to the billion dollar industry selling makeup toninsclecure women that use makeup as a way to change their entire appearance.
See this where I become a hypocrite because I would say if you were a man who is confident enough to wear make up in public then all the power to you. But I am not pro-make up for man, and I would never say anything negative about it because I would be call down and my voice would be silenced by very loud and vocal minority.
But if I was not a hypocrite I would tell you the truth, I am not pro- or anti-makeup... but I prefer women who wear no or as little make up as possible. As far as men go... well when I see a man wearing make-up, I think even less of it. I am not going to say he is wrong or lesser than... but I do not think its manly in the least.
So, take that for what it is.
The dude in dark knight looked good.
Nobody fucking with Paul Stanely lol
I love the dislikes... bring the hate, MoFos!!! I don't wear makeup and I am 100% secure and confident about it, and the women I have gotten down with, you'd be so lucky! What are you trying to hide? You got it or you don't own it, I just won the birth lottery so hate me if you must! ;-)
Those are my dislikes man. They follow men and anybody who comments on my posts.
I don’t consider it a straight thing to do. There’s nothing wrong with being gay, but it isn’t masculine. Taking really good care of personal hygiene, hell, even getting your nails done is okay. But once you start painting your nails and doing make up, it gets pretty sus.
That dude in the dark knight was wearing eyeliner the mayor looked good and masculine on him but that's a movie.
I mean, actors entire professions rely on them being an ideal image.
I don't think he looks good, coach. He looks creepy.
@PinkRose24 He does look creepy lol
Opinion
58Opinion
I can't stand when guys wear make up it is a very feminine thing to do and it makes no sense unless it's for acting in movies lol otherwise they are too into themselves or gay. It's one of the biggest turn offs
They could also just be insecure. Why should women be allowed to hide there scares, or acne, uneven skin with make up and guys not?
Why judge
Finally, a real woman with common sense. What's funny is that the majority of women here who advocate for men to wear make up are the same ones who won't date a guy who wears make up. This is why they should not be taken seriously.
What's wrong with a man being too much into himself and making efforts to look better, aesthetic and charming by using makeup?
@Äxlbäksölöl the question was how I feel about it so it's my own personal opinion that's all. If they want to wear make up then that's on them and they are free to do so. I'm just stating my opinion
@lexxilaughsalot Nothing is stopping a man from using any means to cover scars, blemishes or acne, unless you want to play a societal stigma against men wearing make-up. My bet would be that most men just do what they can and don't care about totally camouflaging their facial flaws.
Ah yes, the feminization of men. Absolutely hideous.
Dudes who wear make up try to look like women or are most likely gay. If you're a straight man wearing make up, then you're obviously throwing away your masculinity. So what's next? Dudes wearing lipstick and putting on fake eyelashes? Give me an f-ing break. Looks like we're heading in the direction of becoming James Charles.
There is clearly a war on masculinity going on in western society. And any woman who "supports" this shit is obviously not to be trusted, because she would not even date such a guy herself.
By the way:
The biggest advocate for men wearing make up is the make up industry. Let that sink in.
@suzzieQ "Fragile masculinity" Oh look, another feminizai buzzterm passing by. This 15 year old thinks she makes progress in insulting my masculinity. Sweetheart, nobody's masculinity is fragile when men say they don't want to wear make up, because they don't want to do things women do. That actually shows the opposite of fragility. It means they are secure in their masculinity to know that indulging in female fashion trends is not a very masculine thing to do.
Also, the way men wore make up throughout history (war paint) is no where near the same as today's make up trends. So not only did you bring a strawman argument, but it serves as a false equivalence fallacy as well. Seems like logical fallacies are your thing, my dear.
"If you're a straight man wearing make up, then you're obviously throwing away your masculinity"...
Maybe you should read up on the history of makeup. Maybe you'll learn something, like how men and women wore make up, instead of being so triggered by it. It's just cosmetics, it's weird how you find it so imasculating.
@suzzieQ
"Maybe you should read up on the history of makeup. Maybe you'll learn something, like how men and women wore make up, instead of being so triggered by it."
Bold of you to assume that anyone who disagrees with your views is somehow "triggered". Sounds like someone is projecting. And yes, sweetheart, I already did do my research.
But go ahead and "teach me", love. It's obvious that you're trying to strawman your way out of today's narrative of wearing make up by bringing up "history". Even though there is major nuance to that. Often men wearing make up was done for war purposes. That's why "war paint" is a term. It was to look intimidating. Vikings are a good example of that. The Pharaohs did it because they believed it granted them divine protection (so clearly another purpose). The Maoris used tattoos on the face not for cosmetic reasons, but to represent status within the social hierarchy. If you're the type who wants to go back to the 17th and 18th century western Europe, where the highest status men wear a wig, put white paint on their faces and red lipstick on, the rest of us don't. And I'm sure glad we've moved past that era.
So we can clearly see that your "learn some history" argument is not only a weak strawman, but also a non sequitur fallacy. As it does not follow on the original premise to the question. Which is about TODAY's men (and most likely within the context of WESTERN society) wearing makeup. Today's make up is predominately aimed for cosmetic reasons. And if you actually Googled some "men's make up", it also falls within the areas of concealers, making skin look soft, foundation, etc. So in other words, typical results that women strife to achieve because it projects femininity, youth and with certain make ups also fertility.
@suzzieQ
So this goes to show that men's make up which is the TOPIC AT HAND falls within the context of the way how women wear it, which often results in making a man look feminized. If not done professionally like in movies, that will be result. Also, this "make up on men" being preached today is by no surprise coming from the leftist & liberal side of society.
We don't need men to look like James Charles, love. If that's what you're attracted to, then that's your prerogative. Don't get flabbergasted to when people perceive that as feminizing and emasculating. If you're actively trying to get men to do feminizing activities, then that obviously takes away from their masculinity. It's weird how you find it "weird" when you're being called out for it.
When I Google "make up on men", the results are predominately about men who wear make up the way women wear it. If I Google "masculine men", you can barely see a single image of a man who wears make up, let alone the way a woman does.
@suzzieQ
Your response is a tell-tale that you haven't actual read what I wrote. Otherwise, you would have known that I've given you a little history lesson. So clearly, I did do my research. You on the other hand are too thick to understand the fallacious arguments you are bringing to desperately strawman your way to justify the feminization of today's men. All while desperately trying to compare men who wore make up throughout history to today's men. When in reality, the contexts are way too different and therefore makes it a false equivalance.
Sweetheart. The only person who should do their research is nobody else but you. When you come and start a debate, make sure you actually are equipped with valid argument and not a bunch of logical fallacies. But since you don't have it, you like to attack men and masculinity to try an undermine the other person's argument lmfao.
Try again.
I like it I feel like it shows that they are putting in an effort, also I feel like it shows that they’re not afraid to be feminine. Guys who “would never do girly shit” usually don’t have as much respect for women as the guys who are in touch with their feminine side.
"Guys who “would never do girly shit” usually don’t have as much respect for women as the guys who are in touch with their feminine side."
Lmfao the irony in all of this is that the majority of women who say that it's okay for a man to wear make up and should "be in touch with his femininity" are the same women who never date such a man, but rather date the masculine ones who aren't going to "be in touch" with their feminine side.
Newsflash: Feminine women want masculine men. Masculine men want feminine women. A truly feminine woman isn't going to want a guy who wears make up like a woman, acts like a woman, and is going to be all in his feefees. Women want strong masculine men, and the dating market reflects that.
Also, just because a guy doesn't want to do girly stuff he must not respect women I'm sure a lot of women would have something to say against that, including my girlfriend. But hey, whatever floats your boat, hun.
TruthBringer, all of the women I know who say they like feminine men like feminine men.
@Faith18letsgo Then these women you speak of are in the vast minority, as in general, women don't like feminine men. They like strong masculine men. If there is something important that I have learned in life is to make sure to watch people's actions, and not their words. So while these women you speak of claim they like feminine men, if they get in bed with men who are the opposite of feminine, then it goes to show they are not to be taken seriously.
TruthBringer, really? I don’t know any feminine straight guys who have had trouble in their live lives.
Well no more trouble then we all do.
@Faith18letsgo
Like I said, that makes the people you know an exception. If feminine straight guys were truly the norm, then we would all see them in relationships or hooking up in clubs, whereas that is far from the actual case.
Women generally want masculine and mentally strong men. Women who want feminine men make up the minority, and often you find these women cultivated masculine traits themselves.
TruthBringer, valid, I’m definitely more masculine myself.
They can wear it if they want but personally I would find them unattractive.
In my country France many men spend hours doing their hairstyle everyday (lots of perms or gel, etc...) curl their lashes, etc... it does make them look attractive but also kinda "precious" not in a though guy way and I prefer manly guy but looking feminine seems to be the norms in France nowadays.
Well at least guys try to make an effort there. Here its just guys dressing like bums and wearing a bunch of nike and adidas brand crap
@WhiteBoyChill At least they doesn't look gay, most gay here look gay or quite feminine
I get what you mean. That’s even worse, its just I can’t stand the mentality of guys who don’t put in the effort to look sharp either.
@TJ1892 I really don’t care what you do man
I’m just confused why you wanted to tell me though
Oh ok.
@WhiteBoyChill What mentality do they have? Cause there's none of them where I live. In France everyone care how they look and do efforts.
Guys here just have this mentality of not really giving a f*ck. Basically none of them really care how they look and they’ll just wear nike and adidas shirts
@WhiteBoyChill Many guys here wear adidas and nike too they spend their life in tracksuit but they spend hours doing their hair and wear jewelry
Yeah fck that. Like actually wear some dress shirts and dress pants for once
@WhiteBoyChill I don't ming the sport clothes personally, i think it look good, dress shirts / pants look often gay cause too tight
Wdym? What’s wrong with khaki pants and a flannel shirt?
@WhiteBoyChill Nobody wear those anymore it's not trendy (it was trendy back in 2013) it's been years I haven't seen a guy wearing those clothes usually guys that want to dress nice here wear a plaid skintight pants with a black turtleneck (but it's all skintight so it doesn't look good).
They dress like this :
I don't think it look nice.
Ya fr. That doesn’t look good. I just meant more like this.
@WhiteBoyChill This look good but it been like 10 years I haven't seen a guy wearing this, it's not trendy anymore so nobody wear it.
It look so much better tho. Why wouldn’t it be a thing?
@WhiteBoyChill Because it's not trendy anymore, people follow trends and also cause you can't find those clothes in shop anymore since shop only propose trendy clothes.
@WhiteBoyChill It's a bit like sweatpants 10 years ago you wouldn't catch a girl wearing one (even for PE they wore skinny jeans) but now it's trendy everyone wear them, they only wear what's fashionable/
I would find it a bit odd if they went full-out James Charles face makeup. But a bit can look nice.
WHO is Jane Charles?
@Guardian45 Jane Charles is James Charles when he wears makeup 😂😂😂
Don’t get me started on that faq 🙄
@PinkRose24 HAHAHA!
I get tired of hearing people perpetuating outdated sexist stereotypes. Men have to have short hair when for a long time throughout history men had long hair. Men can’t wear makeup when in nature it’s the males that are more decorative than females. Why must we continue to polarize and alienate and practically chastise those that don’t fit into the stupid social narrative thrust upon us by the early Protestant settlers of this nation?
First of all, I doubt you yourself would date a guy who puts make up on that makes him look like a woman. Also, men putting decorations often do it in a way that doesn't make them look feminine. Whereas here the west, dudes who do put make up on often do look like women in some way. Long hair can still be masculine if done right.
But taking a quick glance at your bio, you strike me as a liberal so it doesn't surprise me you think this way.
Sorry Breanna, but not everyone is so keen on promoting the war on masculinity that is going on here in the west. And we sure as hell don't want to give the make up industry another reason to make even more money. If you're hell-bent on destroying your skin with chemicals, be my guest. But don't come speak for us men who take masculinity seriously. Because trust me, even you need masculinity within society.
@TruthBringer you’re a dying breed. And that makes me so happy. Why not try joining the human race? Or are you fine with dying alone.
👋 blocked
It's fine if you work on-screen, but, not something I would do.
Tbh. I'm not impacted in either way by them doing it.
I mean i kinda always been attracted to masculine men, but i have also been known to like a more feminine look as well.
But on a different note, i always said y'all beards are your verison of make up
I wear makeup occasionally; not as often as I’d like.
Their body, their choice. However, I would not date someone that wears heavy makeup like blush, gloss and eyeliner. I find it very unattractive.
You do you, it's your decision and it's okay if someone wants to put on makeup.
Cosmetics is a multi-billion dollar industry that has, for centuries, owed its existence to keeping naturally gorgeous young women convinced that there is something wrong with the way Gos made them, and they need to paint themselves up like circus clowns to leave the house. Convince men of the same bull shit and they can double their revenue!
I been getting back into makeup, it's kinda fun. I'm still bad at it tho so I'm sticking to more little messy goth shit instead of like trying to look natural. I think men who can do a natural or like clean artistic look r pretty cool. There's a woman in our area who does hers crazy arty. Anyway I'm not got time or money to be super into it. But I do like it. Like a bonus shit to have on. 🖤
Men have worn makeup throughout history, actors wear makeup, I don't see what it's got to do with being manly.
I'd say being masculine and manly is about behaviour and attitude. I've seen dudes who wear makeup be far more mature and masculine than some self proclaimed alpha/sigma dudes.
Honestly I'd say if someone's ideas of masculinity are threatened by some makeup; the makeup isn't the issue there, it's their fragile sense of self.
I say go for it! Makeup has been worn by Men and Women for thousands of years.
No, men shouldn't wear makeup. It's a women's thing, it's always been a woman's thing it's just wrong for men to do it.
First off why do you care, you are a girl not a guy you shouldn't be fighting for what doesn't concern you. In fact you are a 15 year old girl and I know just your type. You are siding with the groomers of the world, hell you are fighting for them. You are part of the problem, getting rid of real men, trying to make everyone a pansy (weak little delicate flower). You groomers are trying to make everyone gay and sensitive fighting for what's wrong. You probably even agree with drag shows. I think we need to fight for the real man the manly man, who's not insecure about their face. It is important for us to keep the people that will work hard and learn how to fix things not relying on society. My dad is a manly man, he teaches himself how to fix things, he isn't scared of much, he's a Jack of all Trades, and he definitely, does not wear makeup. There will never be a great generation of men again if you keep fighting for the wrong side.
Manly men rule
@Bella71205
👏👏Yup, you called her type out👏👏.
You've described her type perfectly. These people want to get rid of masculinity within western society to make men feminized & lose their (biological) direction in life. Because masculine men are leaders who start revolutions and don't fall for consumerism. But
This is the hypocrisy of these people. They try to get rid of us and erase masculinity, yet they cannot live without us.
People consider me a manly guy as well. I started talking about men & make up with my girlfriend and she was visually disgusted by just thinking about it. I asked her "want me to start wearing make up?". She said "NO, I don't date women or gays" 🤣.
Trust and believe, dear @suzzieQ here would be hiding behind the backs of men like myself and your father when shit hits the fan. Whether it is war, getting attacked in the street or when a burglar enters the house. Both she and her alleged boyfriend who she claims wears make up. We see this phenomenon happening in Ukraine already.
@TruthBringer It wasn't just kings who wore it, It was a cultural and religious practice common for the middle and upper class, but it was also very much for cosmetic use as well.
history.howstuffworks.com/.../...ian-cosmetics.htm
I get your point. But men , NOT women wore make up till women decided they wanted what men have... as always and still yet today. Men also wore skirt , wigs first. And dressed as women for skits in the old days... Kabuki Theater in Japan. Men also are the designer's of most all of women's apparel.
@suzzieQ Ancient Egyptian men and women wore makeup for both cosmetic and religious reasons. They believed that it enhanced their beauty and protected their skin from the harsh sun. They also believed that certain colors and cosmetics had symbolic and spiritual significance, such as green eye makeup being associated with resurrection and new life.
So clearly, this goes way beyond cosmetics as I have pointed out in my own comment section. Whereas today's men who wear make up do it SOLELY for cosmetic reasons. So in other words, you've resorted to a false equivalence fallacy.
@TruthBringer Lol I wasn't equating the two... but sure
@suzzieQ What ancient Egyptians do is completely irrelevant to men wearing make up today. So your red herring isn't a viable argument, boo. Especially since it still doesn't change the fact that men today who wear make up look more feminized. And I'm talking about the general, not superstars who have professional artists do it for them. ;)
@TruthBringer except for when the don't... if you can't tell they are wearing it does it matter? When men use makup to enhance their masculine features... you still think it feminizes them?
@suzzieQ Using them to enhance masculine features is 10x better than trying to look like a woman. Still doesn't beat men who look masculine without make up. If it takes make up to make a man look masculine, then that man isn't actually masculine. Doing masculine things and building yourself as a man is what makes you masculine (hitting the gym for example).
@TruthBringer That is subjective
@suzzieQ Some things are subjective, but other things are to be taken as a general rule. And the general rule says, men who wear make up in today's society are feminized. You can throw all the mental gymnstics you want, but that's the truth. And unlike you, I do understand how crucially important masculinity is within society in various areas. And therefore, I will call out anything that strips men of their masculinity. But go ahead and advocate your woke nonsense like all the other groomers.
@TruthBringer That is your opinion. If you believe that masculinity is so fragile that some concealer and brow gel strips a man of his masculinity that sounds like a you problem. You must think make up is some powerful which craft or something lol
@suzzieQ And it is your opinion that it is my opinion. I'm far from being the only to have this "opinion". You make it out like it is merely a chemical being put on a face and shouldn't be a big deal. Whereas this chemical on the face could easily make a man feminized. Your argument is the same type of argument used to advocate for the porn industry. "Oh they are just videos". In the mean time, these videos have been rewiring neural networks in the brain and disrupting dopamine receptors in people. So clearly, it is beyond "just" that.
Same goes for your precious men's make up. It goes beyond just putting a chemical on the face. It is the intent that counts. These things exist for the purpose of feminizing men and set up a new market strategy to turn men into consumers. And the fact you're so hell-bent on protecting something that is deemed as feminizing men is a tell-tale that you're disingenuous. Typical groomer behavior.
Sorry love, real men don't wear make up. And any guy who does it is either gay or a feminized soy boy.
@TruthBringer Wow your masculinity is fragile isn't it. If only feminizing if you use it to feminize yourself... lmao Thats like saying shoes with heels are emasculating... lmao
@suzzieQ I don't really think you understand the concept of fragile masculinity. Calling out something that actively tries to undermine masculinity is not synonymous with having fragile masculinity.
Fragile masculinity is something like this:
"I don't allow my niece to put make up on my face or wings on my back when we role play as fairies, because that's not manly." Or "I refuse to wear an apron when making myself food because "that's something women wear" ".
Whereas here I'm calling out something that actively tries to take away what makes someone masculine, and replaces that with a more feminine persona. Calling this out has nothing to do with fragile masculinity. Especially since the thing I'm calling out has an agenda. Which is trying to normalize the feminization of men, rather than enhance already masculine traits in men. It aims to replace them with feminine ones.
If I walk around looking like a woman, you can't consider me as a masculine person nor can I claim to be one. This is why definitions in dictionaries exist. This is why we call them "definitions". Because they put borders around contexts.
And you wonder why you're being perceived a feminazi. It's because your arguments are exactly like one.
"lmao Thats like saying shoes with heels are emasculating... lmao"
Strawman argument fallacy. Men's shoes have heels as well. Only they aren't the same as those of women. Men's make up clearly isn't used to enhance masculine traits, but rather make men look more feminine. This is equivalent to making a man wear high heels, not your typical casual business shoes, which have a much smaller heel compares to that of women. SO not only did you bring a strawman fallacy, but you also resorted to a false equivalence.
Sweetheart, you have a lot to learn. Your age really reflects your poor argument.
@TruthBringer I does if that is what you use it for just like anything else. The Rock, Jason Mamoa, Johnny Depp, all of which are extremely masculine, all of which wore/wear make up to enhance masculine features.
It is the same because it depends on how its worn. The fallacy is you using James Charels as example for how men use cosmetics. lol Cowboy boots can look masculine or feminine depending on how they are worn.
@suzzieQ We've already covered this. You're resorting to a false equivalence fallacy YET AGAIN. Jason Mamoa, the Rock and Johnny Depp let PROFESSIONAL make up artists enhance their MASCULINITY. Whereas your AVERAGE JOE who is wearing make up, does it and looks more FEMININE.
Jason Mamoa, Johnny Depp and the Rock DO NOT wear make up in a way that makes them look feminine. And they do it in a very controlled amount. You don't see these men look like James Charles or your average female.
Or anyone like these dudes:
www.google.com/search
@TruthBringer What so you think that men aren't capable of doing it? Come on I know you guys are way more capable then you are giving them credit for.
Not all men who wear make up do it in a way that makes them look feminine.
@TruthBringer Only if it is used to feminize.
@ TruthBringer... Your ineptitude isn't a definition of other men's masculinity. It's just your own perception of yourself vrs an insecurity defining your own boundaries of how others may perceive you in your most masculine way.
@ suzzieQ... Actually you are on spot on this post.
@ Bella71205... What about women who decide to NOT wear make up... masculine? Double standard? Or insecurities?
@TruthBringer And it's not. Make up is a tool, its amoral. LOL make up's main purpose is to feminize men? lol come on, not everything is about men, seriously. Thats like saying that the color pinks main purpose is to feminize men.
@TruthBringer yeah I heard you, but you don’t seem to realize that make up is just a tool and it can be used for a whole lot more then to feminize.
@suzzieQ I'm saying the aim for MEN's make up is directed more towards feminization, and not necessarily to hide imperfections. Make up is a tool, as you said. A tool has a purpose. In this case, its purpose is to make men look more feminine unless one really knows how to use it to make one's masculinity stand out. Which is generally not being used for.
On a side note: You mentioned actors like Jason Mamoa. These people often make up because they HAVE to, not because they want to. You can see them wear them whenever they are out on a celebrity photoshoot or premiere. Jason Mamoa in his spare time does not wear make up. I remember watching him have fun with some mates in his backyard or go on a hike. Hardly any make up is seen on his face.
@TruthBringer No not all of it is. Anyone who does make up well understands how enhance desired features, either masculine or feminine.
@TruthBringer oh I understand what you are writing, you just don’t like the facts. It’s weird how triggered you get about cosmetics dude
@suzzieQ There is not a single fact you've provided. All your arguments are full of logical fallacies. Men's make up is generally aimed to make men look more feminine. That's a fact. Just because there are some men who know how to not look feminine when using it, doesn't disprove the general rule.
The only one who doesn't like facts are yourself, love. Keep projecting.
@TruthBringer Read what I am writing, I am not talking about how make up is marketed I am talking about how make up can be used. Some people use it to enhance feminine features some people use it to enhance masculine features.
@suzzieQ Just because it CAN be used for alternative results, doesn't change the fact that it is predominantly being used for one purpose. Make up, IN GENERAL, is mainly used to enhance feminine features. This includes make up for men. So it is safe to say that make up for men is feminizing. Because that's what it is mainly there for. Just because there are men out there who know how to use it in a way that doesn't make them look feminine, doesn't take away the fact that there is a much larger group out there who uses it to look feminine. And that comes to no surprise because make up in our time is generally meant to enhance feminine features.
It's the same with pornography. Pornography is mainly watched for releasing sexual tension (aka masturbation). Just because there are SOME people who watch pornography for the storyline rather than to masturbate on, doesn't change the fact that pornography IS for masturbation. Different example, same principle.
@TruthBringer Lol using makeup to enhance desired the entire purpose of make-up. Stop trying to make it sound like men are too dumb to figure it out.
It's no different than shaving. Thats like saying that shaving is feminizing to me because mostly women do it.
What's next? Wearing pants is feminizing because women, do it? Seriously? Didn't realize a guy so secure in his masculinity would be so emasculated by a little concealer and brow gel...
@suzzieQ I love how you're resorting to a bunch of false equivalences to desperately reach for straws to argue against common sense. Sweetheart, shaving isn't necessarily feminine because it is not broadly perceived as such. There is a difference between removing some hair and putting on chemicals that DELIBERATELY enhance OR simulate feminine traits of youth & fertility.
And your pants argument is so far-fetched that it isn't even worth mentioning.
Seems like logical fallacies are your thing, love. Keep reaching <3
@TruthBringer says the guy comparing makeup to pornography… and I’m grasping at straws…. Keep telling yourself that. Lol
@TruthBringer Because you're comparing apples to oranges, and that is a logical fallacy... lol careful dude, dont wanna get any concealer on you, you might grow a vagina haha
@TruthBringer that is a ridiculously far fetched "analogy" dude. Im sorry you feel insulted, I guess some people just can't take jokes.
@TruthBringer This is obviously a highly emotional topic for you, but you're entitled to your opinion and feelings.
@suzzieQ The fact you actually think I feel insulted makes it all even better. You're so desperate that you're now on the wishful thinking train. Booboo, I'm more than willing to play pretend if that helps you sleep at night <3
If you want to have the last say, then just say it. I know I've given you more attention than your own father, but it's not my duty to do so. You're welcome anyway. love <3
@TruthBringer Well it would make sense since you keep making jabs and are extremely reactive, I guess that must just be the way you come across. Actually my dad thinks your are pretty funny too, I won't repeat his exact words though.
I don’t really care. I wouldn’t personally be attracted to a man who enjoys wearing makeup, but I would never disrespect or be rude to any man because he wears makeup
I think it’s fine. I don’t wear make up very often but every now and then I’ll throw some concealer on a pimple or I’ll do some guy liner if I’m going to the club or something lol
All the Downvoters are just mad that they can’t pull off guyliner 🙄
Putting chemicals on top of your pimple (s) won't actually do you any good. Better to just leave it visible while having something else on your face that helps in clearing the acne. Make up will only make it worse.
And I doubt there is any man here who is "mad" for not being able to pull off a guyliner. We're not all too keen on going on a woman's path.
@TruthBringer it was a joke lol I’m sure nobody is mad
And as long as you remember to wash the make up, it should be fine. They have makeup specifically made for acne prone skin.
@JustinTheGreat
Nowadays you can't really tell who is joking and who isn't. Especially on this website, you'll see things which you assume the other person is trolling, but they end up being dead serious. Anyway, glad you meant it as a joke. I still would prioritize skin care over conceiling with make up. Best to treat the acne instead of covering it and RISK making it worse. Just because there is make up that is "made" for acne skin, doesn't mean it's good. You'll end up making it worse.
Just food for thought. In the end, you're entitled to do whatever you want with your life
@JustinTheGreat The Downvoters are mostly just a normal part of answering one of Coach's questions. His stalkers love doing that.
I am not a fake person with you she is what you get with my Santa belly and gray hair If you don't like go away. I don't like women with lots of makeup either.
Depends on what he's going for. Not attracted to men who go overboard with highlighter and shit but nothing wrong with a little concealer here and there.
