Why do some men get such a pack mentality when it comes to debating with women?

It seems like it doesn’t matter if half of them would typically agree, if you’re a woman and one of the men disagrees with you first… it’s like built on as some sort of bro code. Isn’t that kinda feminine to follow other men around like puppies?

Conversely, when a man agrees with a woman in the same debate, he's called a simp. Some dudes may just agree with each other.

I do agree basing an opinion of a debate on what the opposition has between their legs is incredibly silly though.

Yeah I hate them being called simps too. It just seems to be attacking women for the sake of it. I’m conservative but that doesn’t mean I follow incel ideology even if there are plenty in the based or right wing groups. But if I reject them or disagree; it’s instantly an attack of a dog pile 🙄 I can tell when it’s genuine but most times it’s a toxic group mentality. Hella feminine energy not hot lol

I get that. And I also have zero problem backing up my opinion on something, even if it's considered contrary. If I see someone getting dog piled for no obvious reason- there's a difference between being wrong, and just being unpopular- I may even wade into it out of boredom.
Awesome that you're conservative! I feel its rare online, I am too. Sometimes downright Amish in my beliefs, in comparison to some of these questions and opinions posted.

sure you'll have men disagreeing with feminists then you'll also have male feminists disagreeing with tradcon women

Huh? No I’m talking about dog piling on a woman simply because she’s a woman. I don’t think it happens so much reverse because most the women that group like that legitimately believe what they say even if it is stupid or not. They don’t have that weird bro loyalty anti women mentality. 🤷‍♀️ it keeps women being feminists and them being single so I don't know why they do it.

guys get dogpiled too if a large group of people happen to disagree with them. if there's something that is outright disagreed on, yes then guys will openly express their disagreements. sometimes a topic can have majority disagreements that whoever is in the minority will get dogpiled and usually first in first serve sets the tone of where the arguments go towards.

I’m not talking about if people really believe what they say or not. It’s just a, “she’s a girl we don’t like her” sorta thing. Even if typically they wouldn’t care or don’t mind strongly, they’ll take the opposition out of spite

I don't how much it has to do her being a girl but I do know that the guys who may disagree with Anita Sarkesan are the same guys who would agree with Christina Hoff Summers. the guys who disagree with AOC are the same guys who agree with Candace Owens etc. unless there's examples of this it's hard to pinpoint the exact reason guys are disagreeing with a girl just on the basis she's a girl.

Eh, I’m pretty conservative and based but I’ve dealt with it too. Generally it’s a rule of thumb to disagree with AOC, but I don’t do it just for the sake of disagreeing.

If someone said, “AOC said she hates rapists!”
I wouldn’t then say, “well what kind of rapists does she hate?” 💀 if she liked them (which is against what I believe) I would instantly be against her. Not because of who she is but because of what she’s said.
It happens a lot. Even other men who are just viewers will agree a lot of those kinda men are Mysogynistic. I just call them incels 🤷‍♀️

well there's nothing wrong with questioning AOC given that she does tend to be selective on who she is willing to give a pass to which is one of the problems with intersectionality. hating rapists is one thing but to not hate a rapist who happens to be an illegal immigrant because its "racist" to do so is where people are allowed to question someone's consistency.

well if you want to say that the message is more important than messenger then I agree but that's never gonna stop people from attacking opponents on their identity rather than what they say. Biden and Trump are two examples of such despite being on opposite sides of the political isle.

at the end of the day, it really depends on what the topic is. for example a pro-life vs pro-choice debate is going to get very heated and a man who is pro-life will be attacked by pro-choice women just on the basis he is a man. a man who is pro-choice won't face the same amount of vitriol from pro-life women.
