@Antjttb it's not exactly asking him out, it's just, "I'm going here, would you like to come with me?" The second time I met my future ex-fiance, we started talking about music and she was so interested in learning what I could tell her about it, rather than just stand there at the bus stop for hours talking about it, she invited me to her place for a pizza and she could take copious notes on the records I was suggesting to her. (I collect records and know a LOT about the kind of stuff she might've been interested in hearing.) After two or three more nights of doing that over the next few weeks, we became lovers.
