What do you think of the situation?

Me and this guy at work … he’s jokey and friendly and flirts (compliments my appearances and acts jealous). So today he saw me at lunch and said something to me about work and I could tell he was trying to be purposefully fake awkward and like fakely aggressive with me. He kept saying the same thing over and over. I feel like he was trying to let off steam by using me haha. But in a playful way.
What does it mean if a guy lets off steam this way?

What was he saying?

He was saying ‘I did such and such for you’ (it’s a basic part of his job and it wasn’t specifically for me, he’s just adding that part in to be dramatic) and I would say ‘thank you’ and then he would repeat himself. And after every response of mine he kept saying the same thing. I’m like ok weirdo in my head.
