I work everyday 80 hours per week. I have multiple types of income and I’m my own boss.

This new guy, I asked him to just be friends and he became extremely cold and stopped talking to me. Is that immature, am I being insensitive or he just wanted someone to share the bills. He was treating me like a girlfriend and all of a sudden became cold.

I asked my ex the same thing and we lasted for 8 years. I asked the same thing to ny second ex and he was just fine and we lasted for 3 years.

Well no, this has got nothing at all to do with your money.

This guy liked you. You told him... you did not like him back (just wanted to be friends).

Now he feels hurt and rejected, and assumes that you do not want him to act like you're his girlfriend... because you just literally, explicitly told him that you did not want to be his girlfriend. You just want to be friends.

I do not understand what you're confused about. This situation played out exactly as one would expect... and the same way this situation has played-itself-out a million times before. I don't know what you were expecting. But this makes perfect sense... and hasn't got a damn thing to do with your money; or with this guy somehow having less-than-good intentions. I don't even understand where you are getting any of that.

Well you basically friendzoned him, if you told him "just friends" he understood he has no chances with you, why bothering trying against a "no"? If your exes pushed it anyway it doesn't mean that any guy would, especially because many guys understand how pointless (and annoying) it is to cling to someone who rejects them.
If you want him in your life, redact your words and tell him you were confused but you actually want to start dating him, if he gives you another chance after the rejection. Just don't play games like that, many guys are rightfully pissed at such things because it's kind of manipulative and if they're putting themselves vulnerable to you that is not respectful, it's not that he just "wanted your money", I think he expected honesty and a honest "friendzone" came, and he took it as it was...
