If a guy who was once a friend keeps showing up at the secondhand shop where you work to buy stuff, when he’s rich and doesn’t need to shop there, then after you put on your social media profile that you like South Park, he starts sending messages to get a reaction from you and lots of photos of himself with various different hairstyles and says he ‘is who he is, a clown and a minstrel;’ is it true that he fancies you? He’s always checking my social media and someone told me he likes me but doesn’t know what to do as he’s an aspie. I’m an aspie too and my thought was that he’s just bored. I don’t like not understanding stuff.

He could, usually men will try to show interest in things that we are interested in to impress us. I’d say read his body language, does he get shy/nervous around you? does he playfully flirt?

Just makes intense eye contact or avoids looking at me. He sends lots of photos of himself. Occasionally saying things like I’m a spender, he’s a saver and that you’re only interested if you make time for someone. He’s probably trying to annoy me.

I’m not giving him any signs and my intuition doesn’t say anything as I’m autistic and I can’t read people.

Doesn't sound like a goal is involved from you or him, I guess you two simply exist in similar spaces.

What is the endgame, what do you want him as? a friend, customer, boyfriend...

I can't imagine a rich man wasting his time, so I will conclude he likes you, now that he likes you, what will you do with that information

Thanks, that’s very helpful. He sends me pictures of himself looking handsome, with his hair the way I like it. But he said he couldn’t cope with a relationship. Because of his Asperger’s. So maybe you’re right. Maybe he’s trying to feel like we have a connection by sending me attractive pictures, showing up and trying to make me laugh online. I don’t see much point in encouraging him though. First he said he’s a narcissist and pretended to like me for fun and is seeing someone else, next he said he makes jokes.
