I got ghosted by my friends with benefits after year he’s coming back?

Show me this person met two years ago and we were just doing casual things because we both agreed on that and then things changed in 2021. He wrote on Twitter I’m off the streets it’s been fun so I took that as that he had a girlfriend or was planning to make that person their girlfriend and I cussed him out asking him. Why couldn’t he just tell me and be vocal we ended up blocking each other and we didn’t speak for four months. He unblocked me and then I am blocked him and then we had a conversation and we clear things up and he said that it was a miscommunication. He was drunk when he typed that but it still didn’t make sense to me but I chose to forgive him. So from then on we were cool and we continue our casual things. Comes April 2022. I leave the country he stops calling and I figured something weird is going on. Turns out he ghosted me because he got a girlfriend I was so devastated. I was in a dark place wondering why would he do this again? He was childish and did not know how to communicate seven months later I see him at a party and he apologized to me, but it felt like a bullshit apology because I felt like he wasn’t being straight up. I did not forgive him, and I just walked off now in 2023 for months ago he added me on Snapchat randomly and then now just yesterday he calls me because he wanted to get some thing off his chest. He was saying that I’ve been heavy on his mind even when he was in the relationship so currently right now he’s not with his girlfriend they broke up two months ago. He told me the real reason why he ghosted me was because he got her pregnant and he didn’t know how to tell me. and I’m just like why are you just telling me this now and what do you think is going to happen after this? He was telling me that I was a good person. I didn’t deserve what he did to me but the damage is already done right now I’m in my feelings and I low-key want to get back with him but obviously I can’t. Like how do we come back from this? I do miss him

More on the phone call that happened yesterday he was just apologizing and saying that he is bettering his communication and he doesn’t want to be on bad terms so basically he’s trying to find a way back into my life
