Why do guys like it when their girlfriend is shorter / smaller than them?

ofc this isn’t the case for every guy but I‘d say for at least (or more than) 90%.
If you ask someone what their ideal height for a girl is, they’ll almost always mention a height that’s shorter than their own.

It's appealing, because a woman being smaller than a man is seen as a more feminie trait.

Biologically, females are generally smaller, overall, than males, so part of it is just natural instinct, as well. We're biologically wired to be attracted to those who are smaller than us.

It's the same reason you typically hear women say they want a guy bigger/taller than them. It's masculine, and it's generally what they're wired to find attractive.

Men have generally been seen as protectors, and a lot of men enjoy that role, just as a lot of women enjoy feeling safe with a bigger guy. It's mostly just human nature.

Because men are on average 5 inches taller than women, so being tall is a masculine trait.

It's not that we like it, it's that most women simply are shorter and smaller than men. I dated some one once who was taller than me by like half an inch.. Her height was irrelevant to me. I'm 6 feet tall personally. Most women are just not that tall.

To me is just kinda cute, i like the contrast (i'm 182) and is kinda arousing sexualy (but mainly because they are just cute).

I don't know. Im an outlier here. I've always been into women my height, closer to my height but ideally taller than me.

Because men are attracted to femininity, and short is feminine while tall is masculine.
