Guys, Do men take horrible pictures on purpose?

I see men on here and on dating apps taking the WORST pictures. They will take it in the dark, making cross eyes and taking it from below to show double chin. 🤣😭 These men can be a 9/10 but because of the way they take the pic they look like a 2/10. Do y'll do this on purpose or why?

I will admit women are too good at taking pics and doing makeup to the point some of us are cat fishing.

It's interesting you say that because it's the females here on GAG who tend to post horrible pictures in their countless "rate me" and "how do I look" questions. That's because they always take a thousand photos and choose the one that makes them look slimmest and give less consideration to whether they even have a smile on their face.

I do find selfies to be difficult to take and be satisfied with the results. I need a willing helper in order to achieve decent results. Maybe a selfie stick would help.

I don'tcdo it much at all, but when I do I can't keep at if for too long because I feel weird and shallow trying to find the right angles, lighting and so on.
So I establish a few ideas, some types of ways to have my hair, clother to wear and then I take a bunch if pictures quickly in many different angles and then I try to not think about how self-centered I feel about it.
Later I transfer to computer and delete excess pics, often feel like one or two is OK, trash the rest.
But then later I dissagree with my former self.

Knowing this process makes me think less of how I look, I won't be very satisfied anyhow. Just wing it naturally, I can live up to that, I'm sure.

Besides I most of the time I think looks matter less. Men need other, more internal things. I mean, online and from afar it helps to draw in but once you get talking, it's all chemistry, skills, assertiveness, status and charm.

No. Men are just flat out honest. What you see is what you get. Women on the other hand are naturally deceptive. She tries to hide every negative about her while accentuating every asset. This is why women take overhead shots to hide her beer belly while accentuating her boobs and cleavage. This is why y'all take pics in unnatural poses with your ass sticking out like you have a back injury. This is why y'all make duck faces and contort your mugs to where half the time it looks like you're trying to take a s***. Now throw on a lb. Of makeup those caterpillar like eye lashes, raccoon eyes, fake nails and heels and you're ready to snap that picture.

Guys on the other hand may e run a comb through our hair flash a million dollar smile, good enough.

Men are lazy when it comes to our picture taking.
We don’t do it on purpose we do it because we don’t care and we care so little we don’t even know what a good picture looks like.
I mean, don’t get me wrong men take really good pictures as well just not selfies.
Men do not do selfies.

You women take plenty of selfies right you might have like 30 pictures of yourself on your phone right or maybe even more.
However, with men, you’ll be lucky to find a single man who has like five selfies on his phone.

We don’t take selfies to look good we take selfies to be like. Hey, this is what I look like.
Flattery is not the point of a man selfie. The point for us man is to just say hey this is what we look like and this is what we like doing. That’s why you run into so many men with the dating profiles with a fish in it.

Y’all care about what you look like on your profile pictures, but we do not.

Hell ask my friend she has tons in her Dropbox 😂😂😂😂😂😂. Over the same angle just turning by inches just to get the right pose or light and remove shadows.

I have been thinking dress up go to a studio to be taken a picture. Hell at least 2-5 pics is enough 😂. Speaking about studio she has taken pictures with lingerie. I asked her why 😂 i mean you trying to get into play bunny industry. Her answer is no, is to keep it in her albums of how she look young. Gosh gotta keep my friend 😂😂😂😂😂.

I've at least done on purpose sometimes. Actually I do it more for women I actually like so I don't post them on sites like these since there are very few women I like on here. I figure if a woman likes me at my ugliest, most disheveled, dark-eyed, bed-hair sticking up, she'll love me even when I'm at my worst.

Personally i just don't like taking pics of myself, i hate looking at it. So in the rare moments that I am forced to take one, i will intentionally not put any effort into the photo.

Make a fake account being a guy on those same apps and see the amount of females with feature photos of bloodshot eyes, a cloud of smoke and a middle finger extended. Count them. A lot of guys who take pictures, do so spontaneously. They want to share themselves in the moment. For some they simply aren't thinking about the composition. Others intentionally want to show themselves as they are, to express vulnerability in a way that feels safe (with people they like)

I think girls put a little too much into their pics. All these angles to the light, oily skin, 6 different outfits, overuse of dye/lipstick, we dont do that. What you see in a guy's pic is what you get. We can't help but be straight forward.
