Why did this kind of hurt my feelings when my crush did this?

At my job I was passing my crush with an empty box in my hand and he smacks it so hard to the ground. He pretends that he’s going to walk away but he does pick it up and hand it to me laughing. He said he’s just playing

He was playful and looking then he pretended I didn’t exist the next day. Honestly, I’m not totally sure he left but he had a duffle bag and someone said “you’re a good chef” when he was leaving out the kitchen.

It really didn’t register with me that he could be leaving for good… I was passing through and he was at the door and I was about 4 ft away from him leaving out the same door. when he was leaving out I heard him say sorry I’m my direction.. but I didn’t know who he was talking to… I was not far behind him and it was just me and another chef but he wasn’t paying attention.. he had the door still help open and peeped his head back while saying “sorry”.. but there was only me in his view

It’s just all confusing. I don't know what happened
