Why do some men let their sister beat them in fights? Women do you think you could beat your brother?

My brother never lets me win😒

I keep seeing women say they could beat their brother.. are these men letting their sister win? Why?

I have a younger sister and I have often let her win to boost her self-esteem and self-confidence. I think it's important for a younger sister to feel not inferior to her brother and in general it's important for a girl to have enough self-esteem to believe she can defend herself if attacked. I usually let her win when she was fighting well, instead I beat her when I felt she wasn't "fighting" well enough. I think it really depends on whether you're the older brother or not. Had she been bigger than me, I think roles would have been reversed and I would have want to show her that even though she was older, I could defeat her

Yes but letting her win is dangerous. If she thinks she can beat a man now she might go far with it and who knows maybe even die one day cause she thinks she can get away with it.

Well I dont think she'll ever attack somebody, she's very respectful. It's just helpful for her self defense skills I think. If she were aggresive toward others I would have never let her win our fights

Okay I see. Well her self defense skill as a woman has no meaning. If she is smaller and weaker and slower she has no chance. Its best to just scream and try to not be in the position in the first place.

But if she is very respectful you probably have nothing to worry about it.

I think it´s something guys do out of respect and it´s a sign of manners. It was the same in school I was taught whenever there was a boys team against a girls team the boys were encouraged to let the girls win.

Wow you were encourage to let the girls win? I did not know this! They did that in secret? Maybe they said the same to my male classmates I don't know..

But you do see the danger in letting her win? Now she might be going around thinking she can take a man.

Yes to not discourage the girls and not humiliate them.
But it could be that he actually lost against her since that can happen, too since not every guy is always better in sports.
I don´t see much danger in a girl thinking she could win against guys since I don´t put much importance in a sports win.
It´s just a moment in life and could be turned over by other experiences.

Well there is a lot of danger in it. Thats why you see so ma y angry feminists walking around thinking they can beat up men. But okay:)

Me and my brother never actually physically fight, but we do play fight. I know he could overpower me if he really wanted to. We have a great relationship, so I don't think it would ever come to that.

I grew up with 4 sisters and they were all older than me. I didn't let them win I was smaller and outnumbered.😂

I always tell them to this day it's why I grew up to be 6'5". It was a defense mechanism!😂

Do you ever find anything wrong /disturbing to you when your brother wrestles you?
I feel so sometimes, especially when I have her pinned down by her wrists... she is still laughing though,,,. I just want to be sure it's not effecting her in any bad way!

Yeah im younger. By 3 (almost 4 years). And no just hurts the ego.. which can build resentment if dealt with wrong way.

Other than that you have nothing to worry about. I mean if she would have shown she was in real pain you'd probblaby stop right?
