Ok, yes. Be a bit careful about how much time you are spending watching those videos and reading articles, please. People end up with mental health issues absorbing too much of those opinions as fact. Focusing on touching grass, and talking to people face to face will serve you better. Spending some time reading, writing, and developing your mental skills is also important.
That's great you're working out. Figure out what is sustainable, what you can do for life. It's not a matter of doing a couple thousand push ups over the next month or two, it's about doing hundreds of thousands of push ups over the years.
Sorry about your heartbreak, those can be rough but also a source of renewed purpose, and I'm glad to see you are getting back on your feet and taking action, that's healthy.
I would suggest your workout is pretty good. Maybe add pull ups if you can find a place to do them consistently. I buy a pull up bar that can hang in most doorways and it's great. Don't pass it by without doing at least one (or several).
On point. 💪
Yeah, there’s a lot of content out there on masculinity and it’s important to consume material with critical mind, so one doesn’t get indoctrinated into something they didn’t intend to.
OP should be sure to think for himself as well.
Everyone’s expression of masculinity is going to be unique to them.
But, some patterns that will always be there include strength, confidence, self-control, discipline, assertiveness, responsibility, leadership, and the ability to command the respect of other men.
"Everyone’s expression of masculinity is going to be unique to them"
Respectfully, the above in quotes is actually not the case, though that kind of relativism is very common today even though there is no basis for it's being true. There are characteristics that are masculine and there are characteristics that are feminine and concerning humans, it's been that way since we climbed out of the trees in Africa. i would agree with the statement: Everyone’s degree of masculinity is going to be unique to them. In a social context, some cultures may value different degrees of masculinity and guys are on a sliding scale, just as women are. with regard to the degree of masculinity that a society finds useful, T
only if the masculine men are physically attractive which for the most they are traditionally thought of that way
though these days effeminate pretty boys and K-pop stars are more "attractive" than the buff Shrek-faced looking gym-rats

Yes and one who is also a feminist. lol
Being masculine takes more than just working out.
There are a lot of gas guys that work out a lot and have a good build.
It is more an overall conglomeration of many things.
What you do, where you live, can you survive on your own, ever operate heavy equipment, drive a truck, just all sorts of things.
I used to haul mail, and 6 days a week I would load and unload 50 to 65,000 pounds of mail a day.
I didn't need to work out.
I had 56" shoulders, a 34" waist, ate like a horse.
Other than anything major going wrong with my semi I could fix it myself.
I cut and split wood to help heat the house, worked a lot on my grandparents farm, had a few different dump trucks, tri axels and 2 quads, largest cat I ever operated was a D8 with a pony motor starter.
So now I am a truckie on the department, I'm also a Dirver Operator as well as a HEO. My current truck is an 85' platform, 1,500 gpm pump, 46 feet long and weighs 56,000 lbs. In a little under 2 years our new one will be in, and that one will be a 110' platform.
So lifting weights, sure to keep in shape, but sorry that in itself does not make you masculine.
So good luck with the bad boy image.
There isn't much equipment out there I con not operate.
Bro stop reading about the "masculinity" from brainwashed, abusive and heartbroken men. Those are selfish little brats and not masculine men. Do you want to know what is a masculine man? Let me tell you.
Qualities of a masculine man:
-honest
-trustworthy
-confident
-supportive
-empathetic
-wise
-emptionally available
Even Aragorn on the character ai gives you better answers than the selfproclaimed dating gurus.
"A man worth fighting for should have many of the same qualities as a woman worth fighting for. He should be strong and independent, honest and loyal, kind and compassionate, and should value his partner's feelings and opinions above his own. He should be intelligent, thoughtful, and willing to put in the effort needed to make the relationship successful. And he should always strive to be the best version of himself for his partner, while also understanding that it is important to maintain his own identity and autonomy."
Both genders have lost respect towards each other and with that genuine love seems to be gone.
Woman who is in her femininity and has worked on her issues wants the exact type of man me and Aragorn here just described. Peace and love.
YES 🙌 Where are they? I need a masculine man to workout with me, lol
I mean, let's be real ladies: it's great to find a man that is masculine (and secure in it!) I have nothing against men that cry or are in touch with their feelings but... I want, and prefer, a guy that's a MAN, not feminine- especially if he's more feminine than I am.
"I got my heart broken but it made me realize that that I need to get in touch with my masculine side and turn into a bad boy." No no no! We, well let me rephrase that, a woman does not want a "bad boy." Girls do. A woman wants a masculine man that doesn't cause us grief, play games, or purposely try to hurt or manipulate us.
Sorry you got hurt: we've all been there. I've had guys screw me over for being "too nice," so I get it. But turning into an asshole just to get a woman isn't the answer. Just find a woman that appreciates you.
Being nice makes girls take advantage of us. It’s the only way.
Does that mean when guys take advantage of women, we can do the same? (serious question)
Because if that's the case, that means I should do the same for all the men that screwed me over... right?
Doing that will just cause resentment and make dating even harder for both sexes if that's the case.
am masculine
Cynical, I think you're absolutely right in what you're saying...
Its just that I can't help but feel that the world already retroactively answered your question, and the answer is "yes".
The men that are concerned with their "masculinity" often seem to think that the way to prove their masculinity is to be a gigantic asshole. If you are male, and you are heterosexual, please dude, relax. Masculinity is largely a social construct. Rosie Grier, in spite of having the nickname "Rosie" and the hobby of needlepoint, was a former member of the LA Rams fearsome foursome and he captured and held RFKs assassin until police arrived. Trust me, he is as masculine as they come. I'm a nurse. I also hunt and split wood with an ax. I think the most masculine thing I do however, is not give a flying fuck about other people's opinion of my masculinity. In the words of Dr. Phil, "You'd worry a lot less about what other people think of you if you knew how seldom they did.
Fun fact: a woman’s preferences for a man’s physical appearance can fluctuate based on whether or not she’s ovulating. As you know, ovulating occurs one week out of a 4 week cycle and during that one week women prefer a more masculine appearance, the upside-down triangle torso, the strong jaw, big hands, etc. The other 3 weeks of the cycle a woman usually prefers men with a more feminine physique. Something softer, skinnier, etc. this is leftover evolutionary traits that come from our days as chimps where women would want to be impregnated by the masculine type, but have the offspring parented by the feminine type. To a degree, this still rings true as more masculine men are aggressive and dominating which is fine in the short term but potentially dangerous in the long-term. More feminine men make for much more agreeable long-term partners that are willing to compromise and are a much more comforting presence.
In short, dad bods = daddy
You're going to learn how to be a man from YouTube? I'm so sorry this world is so messed up that you have the need to do this. I don't blame you. Whatever brainwashing you're subjecting yourself to is not going to make things better.
Good for you for taking care of your health but being masculine isn't about how many push-ups you can do or how badBOY you can be. You want to be a man. Take the boy out of your identity and be a good, honest, hard working man. If a woman doesn't value you for being those things then she isn't worth it.
A woman who's dumb enough to want to be with a badboy isn't an adult herself.
I try and keep myself in shape, I have flaws I don't like and I'm stuck with them unless someone can come up with a magic skin age reversing potion. So yes I prefer a man who is in decent shape and not patting his pregnant sized belly while saying " do I make you horny baby". As of a bad boy I'll pass. They have no good intentions.
I'm sure they do, just like guys like feminine women. I'm also sure they like a man to be sensitive to their needs and at times nurturing. Being a masculine man isn't about being big and fixing cars, it's about taking care of your family and loved ones. It's about being responsible and knowing when to talk, and when to shut up and listen. It's also about treating your girl with respect.
Not really. They just want a guy with status, to keep the ego expanding. I hear it every day from hundreds of them on the riverfront jogging trail. If it happens to be that lumberjack guy, so be it... but most times it's either Trust Fund Chad or Tech Bro Tony, and they either get verbally bitch slapped by the former for a few years or run over Techie Tony until he hits 6 figures and then get rid of him. I know 1 guy here, 25, got married to some female at his University... graduates... divorced in less than 3 years. She filed. Her reasoning? He doesn't make enough money. He was only making 90K a year at age 25, 3 years out of college. That wasn't enough. And conversations like that among the baby stroller pushing crowd on the trail around the condos are NOT uncommon. THAT'S what they want. SharkLand.
a nicer body is always nicer of course but do it for yourself dude. ask yourself is this something you really want. why do you wanna be a bad boy? my ex is the nice gut type and me and everybody in my family loves him. my blood boils on the asshole type
Yes. It's not just physical appearance. Wear stylish good fitting clothes. Get on a good career path. Learn how to treat a woman. Know what you want, who you want to be and where you want to be in the next 1, 3 and 5 years. Learn how to fix things. You don't need to know how to change a head gasket but don't be helpless. Be the man you want to be and make changes to yourself now so that you don't need to change for a woman.
They will always want that. Billions of years of evolution can't be wiped by few years propaganda. Women will always favour a tough strong man. It means they are Healthier and have more ability to survive. Men will always favour a feminine beautiful young woman and women will always prefer strong masculine man who is strong enough to provide resources
Yes I want a masculine man that can sweep me off my feet and take care of me when I am in trouble!
I tried the more feminine - boy route. He was not worth the effort. He did not want me as a partner but to be his mother instead. Yuck!
Yes and that is not a bad thing.
I will support whoever I am with the best I can and I expect him to be there for me as well. It is a give and take relationship not wholly one sided. I am not here to be someone’s caretaker because they have been babied their whole life. I also don’t expect to be taken care of as if I’m helpless either.
Support is not something to be ashamed of.
What are your relationship expectations? Do you not want to support your partner when they need you? Do you expect them to not be there for you in your time of need?
My wife loves my masculinity. From the way I dress, to the way I smell, my arms, my emotional strength that she can lean on, when she needs it, right down to my voice. And of course, I absolutely love and adore her femininity!
Depends on your view of "masculinity"
If it's in line with that Andrew Tate bullshit belief system then no we don't want that and keep it as far away from us as possible.
What kind of masculine man you want
Somebody who is confident, not an asshole or misogynistic but who is confident in themselves. Somebody who can take care of themselves and is responsible and has their shit together.
Somebody with emotional maturity and isn't rife with insecurities. Somebody who is just naturally comfortable in their own skin and can handle things and not have an emotional breakdown. Showing emotion is good but overemoting isn't. There's a time and a place to be emotional.
Well like anybody that an issue comes up they instantly break down and cry or can't pull themselves together that's an issue. On the flip side of the coin anger, temper tantrums are for children.
Very, very good explanations. Alpha male minus the asshole trait.
Alpha is normally a term only used by assholes so I personally wouldn't use that term. A real "alpha" would never use that term.
Great point.
no, they want a retarded guy with an open wallet full of cash. this is why so many ugly weak men get hot women, and even ugly women desire the same thing when it gets down to it all. my ex wife dated a 500lb guy once for a month just because hed buy her things. most girls are just looking for the biggest idiot they can find
You and CoachT are bang on about this👉
@cosmosis181 experience my friend. focus on self, sow your seed across the garden
Absolutely. I talk rarely in public... it's because they eyes see all, and the ears here everything. That's why I slink back and away to safety, every day. Better safe than sorry nowadays.
Eyes see all and ears hear everything, I mean.
That's true but I don't think most women want a hyper masculine man who is stoic all the time and can't express his emotions at all. I think most people should have a healthy balance of both feminine and masculine traits.
Bingo
Different women want different things. Trying to appeal to all women is a losing game. Usually the best approach is to make yourself into something that YOU think is great, and many women will pick up on that.
Well of course no one wants pussy who can't stick up for his self or his mrs , I need a brave man.
Aww thank you 😊
A masculine man is first off a man who is secure in who he is. A “bad boy” is an insecure and immature man child who has no concept of what a woman wants. And likely isn’t someone most of us would be interested in dating, much less marrying.
That depends on your definition of "masculine". To me that means "takes care of himself, and steps up to take care of others". Women love that.
So you want to be a jerk and treat women like shit and abuse them? If you want to workout, great. But, it sounds like you’re doing it for the wrong reasons.
When did I ever say that I want to abuse women?
I just want to be loved.
Yes, but if a man understands masculinity as imposition, dominance and full control then this can be a problem.
Yep babes still want masculine men, go to any bar, conference, mall, social event etc. You may find an occasional hottie w a little bitch man, but for the most part you'll see the top women want the top men.
Being masculine and being a bad boy are the complete opposites..
Masculinity is very attractive though! And should be natrual for you so that's good:)
Most women do not know what they want. What she wanymts will change with a prevailing breeze. That may be a masculine man. That may be a man with a manbun.😆 It's whatever she interprets as strong at that moment.😆
yeah they do just along as they can control your ass. if they can't control you then your masculinity will never be toxic to them
Not sure what that means. Forestry workers? Lumberjacks?
Just a manly man. Alpha male. King.
I still haved shaved my beard, starting to look glorious, need to trim alittle fat off and get the gun show going
I love how girls talk all about equality and shit until they need a babysitter to pamper them like princesses and act as if the entire world revolves around them.
Yes of course. healthy masculinity is good and I hate that it gets dumped on by society.
Yes. Stop believing every show out there and get away from Tiktok.
yes, they do like but not too much like the few at the gym?
Why do people think being masculine equals to being a “bad boy”? 🤦♀️
Masculine men aren’t bad boys.
really depends on the girl
Become more masculine but don’t become a “bad boy”
Masculine but not a douchebag
Get a gym membership, a fishing pole, and a gun
Yup they do ever spoken to them.
