Guys: what would make you hire an escort for vacation and pretend she’s your girlfriend?

I have a friend who went on vacation months ago overseas and posted pics with his “girlfriend” all over social media.

Today he got called out by a friend in front of all of us that the girl he was with was actually an escort he hired to accompany him on the trip. He paid for everything, including her for a week.

The pictures and videos he posted did seem very staged but it’s vacation so that’s normal. She looked like a “normal girl”, average looks, nothing risqué. Pics of her earring dinner, sitting in a chair, cuddling, beach pics- It was believable to me.

Obviously our friend was embarrassed and turned so red. No one said anything and I don’t know what to say.

I just don’t understand why he would even take pics of her as if they were a couple. Or even at all, if she’s for hire. Why post it for us all to see?

it’s also just weird for him to go overseas and spends thousands of dollars on a short vacation when he’s such a penny pincher.

Thoughts? Also how could I approach him after this, do I just act like I didn’t hear it so he isn’t embarrassed or do bring it up?

I guess he felt like he wanted to show off and get attention from others’ like a lot of people tend to do on social media, sadly to say , Basically look at me , look what I am doing , you wish you were in my shoes type of shit. Most people get off on that shit , and most of us do it without realizing
We are doing it but it mainly stems down by seeking validation and attention from others’ it’s just like people that post pictures of the food they are about to eat , or the food they made , Or the clothes they bought or the beer they are drinking or the place they are visiting etc. It’s a way most people seek validation and attention from others by putting themselves in the spotlight , when really no one really gives a fuck, but sadly some people do, the people that do give a fuck , are the people that tend to compare their own lives to others’ by thinking grass is greener on the other side , people that get jealous over others which a lot of people sadly do. So that’s pretty much why he did what he did, he was showing off in a sense by thinking others’ would be jealous of his vacation and putting himself in the spotlight by showing off to basically get attention by look at me type of shit Sadly there are a lot of people in this world that don’t have moral values , that can pay someone to have sex with them , So to him paying for an escort was more of a luxury then anything , he pad for a girl to go on vacation with him so he could fuck her when he wanted to and have a companion with him that pretty much does what he says. He is paying for her services in a sense , is it dirty and degrading? To most of us it is , but there are a lot of people that don’t think it’s dirty and degrading. So to some people his vacation sounds like a damn good time and to others it’s sounds like he is desperate as fuck by paying for an escort. The truth is it’s his money , his life and his choices , he doesn’t give a fuck what others think for the most part because it’s his vacation that he payed for. So No matter what we do in life , there will always be someone judging and criticizing you for the things that you choose to do , Why I pretty much distanced myself from social media , and don’t post much about my personal life. Because there are so many jealous selfish people in this world that think their shit don’t stink that will try to rain on your parade , pretty much the main reason I don’t go on Facebook much anymore and deleted most the people that doesn't really know
Me that just wanted to snoop in on my personal life without even saying a word , like why is this person trying to add me as a friend when they aren’t even part of life anymore ,

The guy doesn't have a significant other and apparently doesn't think he's going to get one. He wants to be seen as normal. Now some asshole blew that by ratting him out. Now he's not only seen as without a girlfriend, but a loser besides. I feel for the guy, I really do. Maybe the reason he was such a penny pincher was because he was saving up for this trip. The guy that exposed this is a real asshole. And yes, act normal and never mention it.
