I’m not describing anyone I currently know. Just wondering how it can be possible for a man not to know how he feels about you when he knows you very well? Unless he’s only after friendship, or he’s trying to keep you around on the back burner, in case he can’t find anyone better?

I'm not sure. Sometimes it gets exaggerated a lot nowadays, though I often hear the word "bipolar" and the word "ADHD/ADD" used a lot these days. Maybe many humans are, unknown to themselves, or in denial that they could be. Lol "it'd explain everything" lol. Or some people are just people. They're hot, cold, lukewarm, self sabotaging or just people who like to stir up others. Or just those who live on an island of one or just are moody/keeper to themselves types/or even whackjobs or nutcases. Who knows. Animals, humans, predators or prey. Go figure right? Animal kingdom lol 👀😋😄
