Why do guys say they're too busy and string me along instead of straight up telling me they're not interested?

They're playing games with you-

They either don't want to be honest with you, and rather keep you as an "option," or backup. They might not want you right now, but like the attention they get from you. Or they're trying to be "nice" and rather than reject you, hope you get the hint and stop reaching out to him.

Take their silence or lack of effort as a hint and STOP contacting them. I learned that a long time ago and it makes life so much easier.

I send messages and tell him I miss talking to him, he take months to reply saying he's been busy. And does it again.
