HELP ASAP! WHY DOES MY CRUSH STARES AT ME EVEN THOUGH HE LIKES SOMEONE ELSE?

I (15f) am into this guy that goes to my school. We only have two class together and he just stares at me, I thought he had a crush on me but he supposedly likes a girl in the year below us. I honestly don’t know what it means and i’m so confused about it.
